These things were designed to be fired off-hand, recoil impulse in line with the shoulder and sight raised to the eye, sans cheek weld.

Now we've got ARs with scopes closer to bores, fiddley stupid combs that clamp to the stock and weird adjustable plastic everything with screws and crap. Bipeds everywhere, and to accommodate a pistol grip that's buried in the ground when you go prone.

What's wrong with a rifle being designed with a purpose, from the ground up?

Nobody would make a precision long action rifle with ar ergos if ars weren't in vogue. It's a fashion choice that impedes performance.

300 wsm has the sam ballistics as the 300 win mag in the 130-200 grain range, but is slightly slower after than.

The bolt action 300wsm are generally lighter than the 300winmag bolt actions too. But given that, they kick a little harder.

Think of the 300 wsm as a supercharged 30-06.
