are bullpups actually good, or are they a meme?
>>
>>35008885
The concept is good, some guns are actually good in practice and others are not. They are also a meme.
>>
>>35008885
Wow, I didn't know the P90 was so big
>>
>>35008962
what if the aug was actually small?
>>
>>35008962
>Scale.
>>
>>35008977
It's pretty small. AUG A3 M1 is 28" and only because the flash hider is so damn long. Would be right around 26.5" or so with something shorter. The P90, though, is still 6" shorter with ~20" OAL.

God the P90 would be perfect for HD if it wasn't for the NFA.
>>
>>35008885
they're good. Triggers aren't as bad as people make 'em out to be. There really isn't any super significant difference between modern service rifles though. An Ak, an m16, a Stg, an FAL, or whatever all function basically the same when properly maintained by a standing army.

I don't rightly care, but I know that one day I'll throw enough money at a gunsmith to make this for me in .510 Whisper.
>>
>>35009262
And the 5.7's price-point. Considering it's meme-tier, it'll be an ass-ache to scavenge should shit go down.
>>
>>35009408
>And the 5.7's price-point.
Not really. Federal brass cased .45 ACP is about the same price as their brass cased 5.7x28mm. If you can afford to shoot that, then you can afford 5.7x28mm.
>it'll be an ass-ache to scavenge should shit go down.
Okay but this is reality.
>>
>>35008885
Depends if you have an APC and a fireteam, really.
>>
>>35009262
>round inherently made to go through armor
>good for HD
More like good for larping.
>>
>>35009560
You realize you can use different types of bullets, right?
>>
Guys we need to crowdfund a new bullpup design with a free floated barrel and a simple electronic trigger.

Think of the advantages.
>>
>>35009262
and the gay ass ATF making the only good ammo for it illegal (T6)
>>
>>35009609
>Think of the advantages.
Battery dies, can't shoot gun anymore

Think of all the advantages!!!!
>>
>>35008885
mem confirmed, give it 15 years
>>
>>35009609
The ATF doesn't allow electronic triggers on semi autos because they're "easily convertible".
>>
>>35009560
he's saying the rifle itself is good for hd, it's small, has a large magazine, and is completely ambidextrous

and of course you could use different types or rounds they don't have to be FMJ APs
>>
>>35008885
Are Bullpups Sten Mk II's?
>>
>>35009637
>run out of ammo
>can't shoot anymore

No real difference
>>
>>35009596
>>35009808
And why not just use something like a pistol ar or one of those ak pistols blacks like to rap about. Draco I think.

You have:
More common round meaning more possibilities for ammo
30 rounds is more than enough, but drum mags exist if you think you'll need it
They're very Smol.
And 7.62 is a better close quarter round and ars can be chambered in anything.
Plus no sbr memeing.

Or what about a short Shotgun? Something like a sap6, mag fed pump action 12 gauge. 12 inch barrel very small and tactical.

The p90 isn't very good in semi auto.
>>
>>35009750
>Spreading this stupid lie
Lots of semi auto target pistols use electronic triggers.
>>
>>35009895
How do you feed yourself?

I like my tavor. It's over priced, kind of bulky, and looks silly. But I still love it and it's my favorite rifle because I have weird taste and like the balance of it. Good triggers are expensive, but I got mine for free as a gift so it's a fun gun and hasn't failed me since.
I will say that it does absolutely nothing that my ar can't do minus the compactness
>>
>>35009909
Explain what makes a p90 a better choice than what is already on the market.
>>
>>35009923
If you shoot it left handed brass doesn't hit your face
>>
>>35009923
20" OAL, 50rd magazine, light recoil, fully ambidextrous with no adjustment needed.
>>
>>35009262
So just cut one down lol
>>
>>35010031
Cut one what down for what reason?
>>
>>35009931
Ars already eject forward, it shouldn't hit your face.

>>35009950
So everything an Ar has except maybe 20 inch oal but only if you strictly get a rifle. Not that it would matter that much more to have a 27 (if with 11 inch barrel) inch overall length or a 20 inch oal.
>>
>>35009895
>why not just use something like a pistol ar or one of those ak pistols blacks like to rap about

That's what I keep in my car in case of riots. Never had to worry about this shit when I was younger.

>Not knowing that you cannot buy SS190s in the US
>SS190 Duty Round
The SS190 AP ball FMJ is designated as Armor Piercing (AP) ammunition, designed to penetrate body armor. Its sale to civilians is restricted and BATF mandates that FN stores the ammunition in a bonded warehouse and releases only upon sale to law-enforcement or military purchase order. The SS190 bullet has a steel penetrator and an aluminum core. It is interesting to note that the SS109 FMJ bullet is essentially of the same design, except it uses a lead core with a steel penetrator. The SS109 is frequently found in civilian-legal M855 loads sold as surplus or contract-overrun ammunition. FN Herstal has stated that the SS190 round will easily penetrate protections that stop normal pistol rounds, but will not penetrate protections that stop the 5.56 x 45 mm NATO round such as Level IIIA armor. The SS190 has demonstrated varying penetration depths of about 10 to 13 inches in gelatin testing by various agencies. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Academy forensics laboratory tested SS190 fired out of a P90 into 10% ordnance gelatin, 10% gelatin covered with heavy clothing, and 10% gelatin covered with Level II soft armor. The average penetration depth in all test events was approximately 10.4 inches; the temporal wound cavity did not exceed 3.75 inches. Testing of the P90 done by Dr. Gary K. Roberts, DDS showed an average of 12 inches penetration in 10% ballistic gelatin. Houston, TX SWAT has also done testing with similar results. Many have asserted that these figures are not deep enough, as the current FBI minimum penetration depth is 12 inches in 10% ballistic gelatin. The standard maintained by ATF is that the round is designed to fire from a pistol and civilian sales would be contrary to existing bans on armor piercing handgun ammunition.

After owning a bullpup, I'll only consider them after they adopt electronic triggers.

A ps90
>>

did you get the aug in the CQC configuration from PJs or did you change out the handguard?

Wow an A3 CQC. Nice.

first post pretty good post

I'm starting to think you've never held an AR and/or a PS90

They're the best type of gun.

Yeah but the difference in accuracy and ease of maintenance is vastly variable

oh look it's the ps90 hating village idiot again.

Why don't you go off yourself with your hi point instead of posting here?

>That's what I keep in my car in case of riots.
Stop being a fucking retard before someone steals it and uses it on your or your family.
>>
>>35010161
>BATF mandates that FN stores the ammunition in a bonded warehouse and releases only upon sale to law-enforcement or military purchase order.
The fuck? If I was FN I would sue, they have no legal right to do that.
>>
>>35008885
Mostly a meme, but only because they are too expensive for the average civilian given its purpose. Where they shine is CQB and HD.

For example. I own an x95 that I use almost purely as a home defense rifle. Being able to open doors and use flashlights, phones, etc without lowering the weapon is worth the money to me. Much easier than with an AR. But in all reality, if you aren't clearing entire rooms first and shooting longer range second then you are fine with any other platform.
>>
>>35010118
>PS90 isn't SBRed
So close
I'm still jealous though
>>
It all just depends on what purpose the gun is going to serve. Bullpups are great SHTF guns. Ergonomics are priceless when you are grabbing one bag and one rifle and sprinting to your truck.
