my 1911 is really plain. what am I missing out on?

Being relevant.
>>35006055
Nothing. The extra features on a 1911 are unnecessary.
>>35006058
Not an argument.
Spending a lot of money so all the other 1911 enthusiasts can oooh and aaah about how pretty and upgraded your gun is.
And if that's your thing, that's your thing.
If you slap a bunch of upgrade parts in it the gun will become more accurate and easy to dial in, but you need to actually want that accuracy and whatever else for it to be worth it.
Unless you mean buying another gun, in which case you are missing out on
>Deeper magwell
>Different safety system
>DA/striker fire
>Smaller (or larger) size
>different ergos
>Different trigger
>different calibers
Plain really is the most beautiful
The faggot embellished models are really just wall hangers or safe queens anyway. You have a purely functional, aesthetic-from-simplicity piece.

She's beautiful OP. You aren't missing out on anything.
>>35006055
That's the best type of 1911.
Looks great; leave it alone.
>>35006055
Some wood grips of your choice? Nothing really
>>35006055
It's a 1911, one of the best looking handguns, you dont need shit on it unless you want to get some nice looking grips of your choice, just to like "make it your own". If Im going to change anything on my R1 im going to get a longer trigger and a little black grip tape on the front of the grip but other than that im completely happy with the look.
I put some trijicon night sights on mine, some hogue magwell grips, Wilson combat trigger, beavertail, extended safety and hammer. Its so much better now.

Good sights
>>35006055
It's perfect, leave it alone
>>35006055
>dat scratch
Ya leave it alone.
