FAL is 4-5 MOA with the knock off you'll surely be getting. Can't get the real thing anyway. With an AK if you get the real deal (Saiga or vepr) you're at least looking at 1.5 MOA if you know what you're doing.

I like the battle rifle meme too but there are much better options. 308 isn't a round you want to waste. If you're going to be lugging it around and dealing with the recoil, you at least want your shots to be accurate. With that in mind the most accurate platforms are the AR10, SCAR, and now the MDR. Considering you're a NEET, good luck with any of those. You may be able to find a Saiga for around 1k or you can get a DPMS oracle.

If you still want a battle rifle, consider a designated marksman rifle instead. The AR10 platform sort of fills both roles of packing a punch and being able to put firepower downrange quickly, and being accurate at range. The best options imo are an aero precision m5 or the savage MSR 10 another person mentioned. Savages are the best budget ARs you can get now. I'd have their 5.56 MSR already if it came with an 18" barrel. The MSR 10 also has a 16" btw... so maybe an aero build is the better way to go.

Yeah about that...

If they do, then they do. 6.5 creedmore is a good round, unlike the 6.5 grendel they were previously considering. But that's all speculation, 308 exists now and is a great round that won't phase out of commonality for at least a couple decades even if the military adopts this other (very similar) round.

I've found the only guns I enjoy shooting are cheap to shoot I stick to those mostly for greater range time unless it's handloading for an accurate rifle. FAL is expensive and not accurate. AK is cheap and about as accurate for a decent one.
