I absolutely LOVE Berettas. The 92 has been my favorite pistol since back when I was a little kid in the 80's.

I prefer a manual safety, I own a Glock but honestly it kind of freaks me out sometimes when I'm carrying it.

Yeah, I have a Shield for carry and kind of bothers me having only 5.5# of force between safe and boom, even with the "safe-action" style trigger.

I shot my brother's Sig P226 the other day and liked it so well I'm thinking of going to a P229 for carry. The HK P30 is also nice, and you can carry it cocked and locked with the safety on.

My carry pistol is LEM (technically DAO, but it's more like single action with a really long trigger pull. If I was in a scenario where I had to carry in a OWB or drop leg holster I'd prefer DA/SA cocked and locked or SAO cocked and locked. If I had to pick an action for CC that wasn't LEM I'd do DA/SA chambered and decocked.
I don't like striker fired for carry, it's okay in a retention holster on a duty belt. Striker fired pistols are basically series 80 1911s with no safety. People will say things like "keep your booger hook off the bang switch and you'll be fine" but I know that sometimes, inexplicable accidents do happen, completely independent of training level or precautions taken. I just like to try to make them a little less likely to happen to me.

My current two pistols are a Glock 19 and a Browning Hi Power. Want to get something DA/SA or DAO.

I've been thinking about getting a P250 or something similar. I put an NY1 trigger on my Glock and I much prefer it over the stock trigger. I get much better first shot accuracy and more consistent groupings with it. The downside to it is slower rapid fire shots, but I think I'm OK with that.

A good DAO trigger would be perfect for me.

I kind of want one pistol for all the actions though, just to have them.

Forgot to mention, the holster is a CrossBreed SuperTuck. I carry 9 o'clock (think 3 o'clock, just a lefty.) I really like them for full-sized pistols. (My Baby Desert Eagle III pictured, that's what I've been carrying mostly recently, same setup as the Berettas.)

I have one chambered but the safety on.

Mostly some sort of striker-esque ("constant" action), like a Glock, or, more recently, my HK45s in LEM, which is like a false DAO. One is stock 8# or whatever, and the C has a lighter TRS.

However, I recently bought a revolver, and I think I'm falling in love with a true DAO trigger setup. I'm liking the rolling trigger more than the "wall" style trigger. A fellow shooter at a revolver match I went to last year (which allowed magazine-fed pistols) said he saw revolvers in my future, and I think he might be right.

I shoot for fun, and since it's virtually impossible to get a carry permit in Canada, my holster setup in some sort of duty/competition hybrid. Hammer down and unlocked. Condition 2, so to speak.

You can get them for good prices all the time, if you're willing to accept one that's been milled to .45acp. Which really isn't as big a deal as it sounds if you just wanna shoot it because you're gonna HAVE to reload your own ammo anyways since it's damn near impossible to find the .455 webley stuff these days anyways, and factor .45acp has too much pressure for these old guys. You can even reload the .45 shit with bullets that perform just like the .455 stuff so it doesn't matter which one you get unless you're anal about having one in original condition.

Those are the same thing, the default trigger for years was just called "Anti Stress," until Walther started offering trigger alternatives and actually started putting "AS" on the P99. Pic related predates "P99 AS."

The P99 AS has three trigger modes. Double action when fully decocked, single action when cocked, and anti-stress which is just the single action with a super long take-up equivalent in length to a double action pull, but with almost no pull weight.

If you want to try before you buy, the PPQ is just a P99 AS with the double action and "anti-stress" trigger elements removed. It has only a single action pull; the same one in a P99 AS. Go to your fun store and pull the trigger.

tl;dr If it doesn't say anything after P99, it's an AS.
