17L if you're not in competition that doesn't allow it's OAL, 34 if so.

The 34 is better for gun game divisions with size restrictions and fits in Roland Special holsters.
The 17L has a slightly longer sight radius for all those long-range precision shots you're always making with your plastic service autos and no other redeeming qualities.

I just ordered a 40 from glock directly (dealer reward program, although I'm sure they still forward to order to a distributor). I was upset that the SKU showed 10 rounds, but when I called them (I'm surprised they picked up right away with no wait time), they told me that the system automatically assigns the sky and that they look at the state they're shipping to.

Yeah....except not at all. For a firearm to have sub-machinegun performance, the first thing it needs is to actually, you know, be a machinegun. Glocks do not excel shooting +P or +P+ ammo, and there are no commercially available connectors that will make a pistol into a sub-machinegun.

for example, i weigh 170 lbs, 5'9, work in an office that doesn't allow weapons. My original CC was a .40 cal glock 22, i fuckin couldnt conceal that thing to save my life, wound up keeping it in a backpack.. great weapon..

Wound up getting a wayyy smaller M&P shield for edc, it's small as fuck, i can wear a polo shirt or a button up and conceal it a few different ways, no one knows i carry at work.

If i was 300lbs, i could probably get away with the glock 22..

Are you shooting across a large empty field, or are you indoors more? the shorter barrel is going to be better for room clearing, tight quarters.. the fucking 1/3rd of a riffle barrel, might get you a tighter group at 20 yards..

personally, 9/10 times you'd use a pistol you'd want a more compact design over the 80's batman movie joker pistol.

17L won't fit in the box in any practical shooting competition, meaning you get thrown straight into open with with the $7000 race guns, plus i'm not sure i'd trust a glock running 9mm major, so you'd have to shoot minor which fucks you even harder.

You're confused. The Glock 40 only comes with 15 round mags. You have to order Glock 20 mags for it if you need 10 rounders. The G20 is on CA's handgun roster, but the G40 is not.
