i'd leave it, if you want to give into /k/ peer pressure take off the shell deflector, put a correct dust cover on it, and no one will give you shit for that handguard, they're pretty desirable.

Put the same vented hand guard on mine. Looks great imo, doesn't take away from the look of the gun. I have seen much worse i think that gun is still easily in the acceptable range

You bought it for a decent price, enjoy it. Dust cover is really the only issue.

If you want optics and autism, get a PU mount and put it on.
