So /k/ I recently made a snap gun buy on PSA's website for the VP9 tactical. I already have the standard VP9, and was wondering if I should keep it or try and trade it/private sell it for something else. I kinda want to get a nice security six, or an AR. Are there any real advantages to having two of the same gun?
>>
>>34989899
Sell it lad. Same caliber and all so I don't see a reason to keep it. Maybe sell it for cheap to a close family member? Covert them to HK
>>
>>34989899
Having two of the same gun isn't necessarily a bad thing.

If you have parts break on one you can just steal them off the other one until you can get replacements. You can use one as a bedside/carry gun and train with the other one since they're so similar, and the bedside/carry one will always be clean.

Admittedly those are kind of weak arguments, but at least now since you bought one recently you can get the HK four free mag rebate deal.

If it's your carry gun then having a spare, should anything break, is a good idea.

Much past that and I personally don't see a point. Always kinda fun to check out arfcom and how many people have like nine of the same polymer striker fired service pistol.
>>
>>34989899
I'd keep it personally. If it isn't broken why get rid of it? You are accustomed to the controls and how it fires so it's just one more gun laying around that you are trained on.

That and you can think of one as a beater gun and abuse the fuck out of it.

Keep it, now you can dual wield with no inherent delay reduction.

oh fuck I forgot about this
op you must
>>

The 4 Mag rebate kinda pushed me to get it, and I had wanted to upgrade the sights for a while now. If i was to buy all of that stuff it would have been almost $260 and the threaded barrel is $230 on HK parts. PSA is selling the tactical for $550 which is $120 less than what i paid for the stock one 2 years ago
>>
>>34989944
>>34989967
Yeah, I think I am leaning to keeping it now. Will have to dual wield if i ever make it to a nugget fest

WAIT FUCK

NAME ONE HECKLE AND ONE COCK

I have duplicates of few guns

Glock 19 x 2
Glock 17 x 2
SW 442 x 2
Does a handful of 1911's count?

In short, I have 2 Glock 17's because that's what I shoot IDPA with, and one day at a match, my striker spring died and ruined the match.

I have to Glock 19's because the second one was used, cane with 6 mags, 3 good holsters, night sights, and an aftermarket trigger for $500. To good to pass up.

I carry the snub nose revolvers, so one is my main, the second is a back up in case I use the first.

1911's are just fun for me to collect, if having 6 counts as collecting.

Also, when I took Frank Proctor's handgun class, one of the other students heavily modded Glock shit the bed (his aftermarket slide release kept locking the slide mid magazine), so he switched to a backup stock 17 to not have a shitty class.

>>34989899
Sell them both and buy two ppq
>>
>>34990009
Why don't you run a G34?
>>
>>34990496

I use a 35 in uspsa, but I use the 17 for SSP
>>
>>34990538
Why such a pricy round?
>>
>>34989899
I personally don't sell my guns, but I do trade them if I stop having a need for one.

It sounds like you don't have an AR though, so I'd definitely trade the stock VP9 + a little cash for a nice AR.
>>
>>34990787

Because I got the gun cheap, and figured I would use it for uspsa major.
>>
I'd keep both. I bought an HK45C as a backup to my HK45, and since parts are hard to get where I live, it has helped since my HK45 has broken once already.
>>
>>34992410
what broke?
>>
I have 4 Glock21s. I just liked the gun so I bought them
>>
>>34989899
Do you have a carry gun?

Trigger return spring. Snapped in the middle of a course of fire.

Why are you even here

The VP9 is my carry when not in school/at work. I work for a state agency attached to a university. I carry a LCP II to not print at all when I am there. The LCP II can be pretty damn accurate
>>
>>34989926
>You can use one as a bedside/carry gun and train with the other one since they're so similar
the best reason
>>
>>34996857
Oh, I was going to suggest trading the VP9 for a P30sk orVP9sk.
>>
>>34996199
is that a common thing for them?
>>
>>34997068
It shouldn't be, though TRS are wear items and I think ToddG had a similar failure, though much further along than at 1k rounds.
