Why is it so perfect?
>>
>>34989174
because it's basically a copy of S&Ws 3rd gen semi autos?
>>
Needs to ship with 17rd magazines.

Also they need stainless and blued variants.
>>
>>34989245
If you buy their handguns, they'll have more money to expand operations.
>>
>>34989193
It's a copy of the daewoo dp-51
>>
>>34990411
which is a copy of the sw 59 minus the slide mounted controls
>>
>>34989174
Not perfect, but overall neat with DA+

this is flawed logic, you should buy things from companies making things you don't want so they'll make things you want?

That's a noticable difference, but the internals are still very similar and they even have some parts interchangeability from what I've seen. The trigger's a little worse in my experience though.

When they make it in 22lr, 10mm, 357 sig, 5.7x28, 9mm makarov, etc.

>take well fleshed out design
>don't skimp on manufacturing
>give it a trigger that actually stands out from DA/SA hammer guns and has marked advantages

Really the only downside is that a "flush" mag is just 13 rounds, you need a bigger baseplate to get 15. If you're going to get a metal frame hammer fired gun this is definitely at the top of the pack.
>>
>>34989174
Because it's th improved version of the improved version of an already good design.

Only things i dont like about them are the ever increasing prices and the slightly undersized(IMO) safety

Does this mean it will share mags with a browning hi power like the S&W 59 did?
>>
>>34991265

Are the mags interchangeable?

I ask because I'm sitting on a dozen or so NIB S&W 59 30 rounders and I can't move 'em.
>>
>>34992185
>>34992203
Google searches say yes. If you don't care about having a rail I'd just get a DP-51. You can get them for less than $300.
>>
>>34992218

Only thing holding me back is I used to work for a Korean auto supplier manufacturer and I know how many corners those motherfuckers cut to stretch a buck.

Optionally see if you can find an old Marlin Camp 9, they take 59+ series S&W pistol magazines.

Make sure the buffer is intact or has been replaced though (they'd dry out over long time), or recoil can batter the original wood stocks, causing them to slowly crack.
On the other hand, Choate makes replacement plastic stocks, that aren't very pretty, but don't need the buffer, and with the 30rd mags you have, might not look TOO bad.
>>
>>34991207
That's how support works. You how people always say "if you don't vote candidate A your giving your vote to candidate B", but that's flawed logic. Not directly comparable but you get the idea

Here's one in it's original stock.

Actually rather pleasant plinkers, decent for small game, very soft recoil.
See also the Ruger PC9, similar in concept, though that one takes Ruger P80/P90 pistol mags, and the action has a nicer balance.
>>
>>34993064

Thought about it. Or maybe a Sub2k (reason why there's a variant that uses S&W59 mags is because the Kel-Tec P11 or whatever it is will work with 59 mags).
>>
>>34993692
Sub2000 works, and it'll probably be cheaper and easier to find, but they actually sort of beat themselves to death over a couple of thousand rounds, not one of KelTec's better designs.
>>
>>34992234
Are the daewoos bad for quality control?
>>
>>34994625

Can't speak on their guns but the cars ... you could say that. But it's not just Daewoo; Koreans in general are horrible at Quality Control. Not as bad as Chinese but it's a cultural thing for mainland Asians. Stretch a dollar as far as possible and only do the bare basics to get the job done.

Japanese never had this problem, but nowadays they just outsource to China and Korea like everyone else.

Get an okayish gun from some designs stolen by chinks. Then this gun you bought for about the same price as any mainstream striker gun, has almost no aftermarket support compared to it's peers. 0/10 get a glock

Mine has been fantastic. The company is very nice too. Had a Freedom Munitions case failure boom that knocked the trigger return spring off its post. Lionheart answered the phone on a Saturday and talked me through checking it out and getting it shooting again. VP of sales called me Sunday to make sure everything was ok. A few thousand rounds later it's still shooting fine.
>>
>>34990411
Early LH9s (made up until 2016) are essentially DP51 since it was being made by the same company under a different name (from daewoo percision to s&t motiv). All of the other differences were done stateside (like finishing and rail cut IIRC). Now lionheart is making them in house state side, and I don't much care for that.

>>34991265
It's just different tolerances. The primary issue is the slide fit to the rail, other parts fit fine.

>>34992203
Mags are interchangable. I have both DP51, LH9, and 59 series mag. The only does side of 59 mags is that the stick out more. Same deal with 15 round mecgar mags that are marked for DP51. The factory lh9 15 rounds and new mecgars 15rounds don't have this issue.

>>34995063
It's a long, lighter trigger pull if you want to carry condition one. I think it defeats the purpose of a da/sa gun, but the korean military seems it's a legitimate carry method. At least it gives you choices.

They posted teasers early last year about extended/threaded barrels and have heard nothing since. Even their last black Friday Sale was garbage. I like them, but at this point they're just too niche and I think they're just going to end up going out of business.

Take a proven design and just make it really well. The only flaw is that theres no threaded barrels (though they are apparently working on that)

59 uses 59 (same pattern as 459, 915, 5906, etc) pattern mags, the guns that took BHP mags weren't production, just prototype
>>
>>34993064

I actually sold a 6906 to a dude looking for something to go with his Camp Carbine, was surprised to learn the shorter 6906 mags work
>>
>>34994625
I can only speak for the guns, which are top notch. They are amazing weapons . Very well built, reliable and accurate. The dr300( a civi 7.62x39) was known for having bolt issues, they where too weak. Others then that there are no brand wide issues for any of there guns.
>>
>>34995217
>useful, questionable
It's a bit more complex than a DA/SA maybe, but the lighter pull seems like an objective improvement.
>>
>>34994914
Wearing a knitted cap whilst wearing a hood.

Try hard much faggo?
>>
>>35002229
So they don't share mags?
>>
>>35002928
The pistol itself is light as fuck anyhow, and I haven't had any sort of use effect how the DA/SA acts, and in the end yes, it's an incredibly light trigger pull and I still like it.

With the + the trigger pull weight is the same for both the re-cocking of the hammer, just another notch to pass, basically. If you wanted to pull all the way through it in one go you can but there's a bit of a tilt that you'll end up with, where if you can otherwise control it it's just smooth as fuck. Just a lighter DA pull I guess.

>>35002965
I don't think you've ever been as comfy as I was there.
>>
>>35002290
>The dr300( a civi 7.62x39) was known for having bolt issues, they where too weak
Probably the same issue of many 7.62x39mm AR15s, trying to fit the much wider cartridge in the space of a bolt designed for 5.56x45mm dimensions.

The solution being to make a larger receiver so you can use a larger bolt, so you can fit enough mass around the case, like on the CMMG Mutant where the receiver and bolt are basically AR10 sized.
Optionally you use a cartridge with similar ballistics but a smaller footprint, like the .300BLK, so you'll have plenty of material for strength to support the case.
>>
>>35003169
That's what he says, no production Smith & Wesson pistols take BHP mags.

And that's probably for the better, considering you can easily fit 17rds snug in that space, while a Hi-Power mag tops out at 15.
>>
Literally who
>>
>>35004294
LH9
>>
>>34998626
Just like the Japanese, Korean manufacturers make everything. Like how Mitsubishi make cars, planes, white goods, etc.
>>
>>34989174
I have one I'll never sell. It doesn't even feel like a gun... I guess in the way driving a Lamborghini doesn't feel like driving a car. It feels like a luxury gun compared to every other handgun I own. The machining is perfect, the slide moves easily and feels like glass, the finish feels good. Everything seems to have been done with great attention to detail. Only thing I'm not a fan of the triple action but I don't use it anyway.

I really hope Lionheart makes more guns or copies of other guns in the future. I know I sound like a shill but seriously it's a good gun and the price was decent, check one out if you're in the market for a metal framed handgun.
