Also to find these things, I just googles description of the patchs like "red patch black hour glass ww2" and "military patch star with wings 20 ww2"

Patches means he was part of 7th infantry division out of californias fort ord, which used to be the sister fort for fort benning in georgia.

Like other anon said they are sideways. The other ribbons and such are easy to find if you google army medals.

The guy was infantry and saw combat, based off the blue rifle, combat infantry badge.

He has a good conduct medal, probably from serving 3+ years, asiatic service medal with 3 clusters, probaboy for serving in asia for 3 years, and the philippines liberation medal for probably being stationed there at end of war.

Ribbons from left to right, good conduct medal, amereican campaign medal fir winning the war, and asiatic medal like in first pic, possiboy one he wore after his first or second tour since tgere is only 1 cluster.

So just looking at your links, these patches were theater made then based on the rough sewing
