Was visiting my gf's family for the eclipse and her aunt pulled these out because she thought I'd appreciate them. Does anyone know what the patches are for? Her family didn't know.

Patches means he was part of 7th infantry division out of californias fort ord, which used to be the sister fort for fort benning in georgia.
Like other anon said they are sideways. The other ribbons and such are easy to find if you google army medals.
The guy was infantry and saw combat, based off the blue rifle, combat infantry badge.

He has a good conduct medal, probably from serving 3+ years, asiatic service medal with 3 clusters, probaboy for serving in asia for 3 years, and the philippines liberation medal for probably being stationed there at end of war.
