Did you ever shoot you're eye out?

I shot a tree in my backyard with mine. It bounced back and hit my leg. My friend and I laughed about how funny it would have been if it had hit my eye instead. I really don't think they have enough power to shoot an eye out, it felt more like a june bug hitting me if anything.

>walk to within less than 2 foot of tree

>see BB ricochet and hit me in cheek less than 2 cm below eye

Never really shot my eye out or shot myself with a BB or with ricochet. But I have had two close calls with family.

>Bought a Crossman Pellet Rifle for plinking and varmint removal.
>Over in my parents' backyard, shooting cans and paper targets with my friends and my Older Brother's Ex GF (We used to go shooting all the time).
>Mother comes out and is wondering if she can shoot the targets.
>Shrug it off and say sure.
>Show her how to load the pellet rifle, teach her how to cock it and how to use the sights.
>She looks at me and asks if it's loaded.
>I say "Yes, it has a BB in it."
>She points it at my friends trying to be joking about a stick up.
>Body block her waving the muzzle at everyone.
>She pulls the trigger as she's waving the rifle around.
>Hits me square in the cheek about an inch below my left eye.
>Yells at me because I was bodyblocking my friends who don't want to get shot.

And then they wonder why I am distant and refuse to bring them to the range or any shooting events I go to. My Dad is pretty cool with it though, but with his age and sickness, he can't go skeet shooting with me anymore. Shame, since he was the one who bought me my first BB gun back in 2004.
