What color thread do they use on usgi multicam bdus? I know the thread weight is around T-70, but I don't think the actual color is coyote brown as it looks lighter than coyote brown. I'm trying to custom tailor some multicam bdu pants with an additional gusset and I need to select the right thread color.

I think this might be it under Tan 499R - GVT Bonded Nylon

The T-shirts authorized for use with the OCP uniform is 499 tan, and at least to my eye the thread and T-shirts seem the same color.
I hope this helps.

yup I have a 499 undershirt and I just matched it with the thread on a multicam bdu they seem a 1:1 match that's gotta be it thanks man.

I think I'm going to buy this but it says it's non wicking thread, is that appropriate for bdu pants? Nylon doesn't really absorb water anyway so I'd think bonded nylon thread would be non wicking by default anyway?
