Also even that sucks, get a 9mm.
If you live in bear country, nobody will bat an eyelash at your full size 10mm, 38 Super, 357, or 44 Mag printing.
If you don't live in bear country, modern 9mm 147gr or 124gr +P JHPs will kill anything that might threaten you.

The G29 and G30 are by no means subcompacts. The grip is shorter but the pinky extensions are mandatory if you want to shoot them worth a fuck so it negates any decrease in size. Also fatter
