What's the odds we will see a second Mexican civil war in our lifetime? Also what would a Mexican civil war even look like?

No because the government would have to suppress vigilantes too to maintain status queue. They are obstensibly opposed to cartels but they don't have the sort of force projection to stop them in their own fucking country. Vigilantes are an easier target, along with regular civilians and journalists and all that shit. I don't know where the cartels stand on the government but I think they're mostly left alone so probably would not assist.
