I've played all of the Splinter Cell games, chaos theory being my favorite. I also play battlefield 2 special forces sometimes because there are night maps with night vision. List all the games in this thread that have a night vision mode, that is similar to gen III night vision goggles.

There is also this awesome series of fallout 4 mods with increased darkness and real NODs that basically turn fallout 4 into splinter cell.

By any chance do you know general prices for gen 1, 2, 3, and 4?
>not just getting gen3 NODs for yourself

Gen 1 is more or less worthless don't even consider it. Gen 2- to gen 2+ pvs-5s are decent and will run you about 500-600 on ebay used. Pvs-7s gen III are around 800-1000 on ebay. You can find envis m703e monocular gen IIIIs for around $1000 and pvs-14s are around $1400 when really lucky to around $2000

Gen IV is a marketing term for a Gen III tube and collimated thermal imaging system.
The price of a Gen III unit depends on its signal to noise ratio (cleaner tubes are obviously worth more), the number of dead spots in the tube, the disruptiveness of the dead spot locations, the number of tubes used, and the price of the rest of the construction.
A clean Gen 2 tube is better than a shit Gen 3 tube.

if you want to get your dick wet into the night vision world I'd recommend used pvs-7's for 800-1000 on ebay before spending even more.
