I moved here in 1994, when I was 21 years old. It was a *much* different place back then. Still not yet completely overrun by Third World invaders, had a Republican governor, and the AWB and magazine limits still weren't in place. I was young and it was the middle of the Great Digital Revolution - Silicon Valley was bursting with creative energy and exciting new ideas. You had to be there to believe it.

I've known for years now that the crazy leftists were going to chase me out someday, and my plan is to leave in the next couple of years. I spent some time in western NC and eastern TN with my boyfriend this summer (don't worry - we're both Trump supporters and I'm not planning to take a rainbow dump on local politics), and really liked the place. He lives around there, and, well... I'm going to move as soon as I can, though realistically it probably won't be for another year or two. Most of my other friends around here have left in the past little while, too - one to Oregon, one to Michigan, and one leaving this weekend for Texas. My ties here are all getting cut, and if it wasn't for the fact that I do have a job here but I don't have one there yet, I'd be packing up the car right this minute.

I'll miss it, but I know more than anything, I'll miss what it was, but isn't anymore.

I lived in Commiefornia for almost my whole adult life. It kept getting worse and worse: more expensive, more crowded, more traffic, more angry blacks, more immigrants who can't speak English, more crime, more taxes, and more incomprehensible firearm and ammunition bans and restrictions.

Most of my family and friends moved out years ago, and I have ties to Alaska, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona. I moved to AZ shortly after being rat packed, stomped, and robbed by 6 to 8 African-American gentlemen because, according to the lead Crip "Yo daddy done own mah daddy, so you owe us."

I found a place in the Weaver Mountains near Prescott. My mortgage payment for a quarter acre with a 1200 sq. ft. house, and 800 sq. ft. garage are less than a quarter of what a one bedroom apartment would cost in San Jose. All my bills are less than half, too, except my 'net access is satellite now. I registered and insured a car and a truck for 5 years for less than one year with just the car would cost. Food is way cheaper, too, although most of it comes from Commiefornia, except for meat.

Gas is $2.36 a gallon, and I don't have to smog my cars.

I liked the idea that I could carry, concealed or open, any firearm or knife legal on the federal level without any permit or licence, but quickly discovered that guns are just for reassurance when the occasional mountain lion, wolf, coyote, or bobcat wanders by, hunting the javelina and mule deer herds.

I live in an all white neighborhood. Folks wave at each other on the road. I forgot to lock my front door when I left for 2 weeks. I don't lock my car anymore. I left a functional swamp cooler in my front yard by the road after reroofing, and it sat there for a week until I taped a FREE sign on it, and it was gone the next day, and there was a 12 pack off beer on my front porch.

I wouldn't go back to Commiefornia at gunpoint.

Just check Prescott Craig's list. There's a bunch of jobs if you can pass a drug test. Ruger is almost always hiring, and there's a demand for welders, electricians, construction, roofers, and truck drivers. If you can run a cash register, coffee machine, or a forklift, the jobs are here.
