Are you a member at a range? How much do you spend on your membership?
>>34962527
Yes, $40 a year, range is fairly lax and a heckin deal
i don't know, i just go to an off-city native village and light up the wood huts
police don't give a shit
>>34962527
I'm a member, RSO and Owner of my range. Backyard shooting is best shooting.
>>34962527
Like $20 a year I think? I don't remember, they send me a card every year and I send them money
>>34962527
$50 a year gun club membership gets me 24/7 access to the range, any applicants are reviewed thoroughly by the senior members. There's a cash prize for anyone who manages to kill the groundhog living in the 25 yard berm
>>34962527
>mfw innacity
>no outdoor ranges
>only indoors
>all have retarded rules like no steelcase ammo(cus its magnetic!!), no rapidfire (1 shot every 4 seconds), have to prove you know safety rules and how to handle your firearms if they dont remember your face
>longest range is 50yards
>20 dollars per person per hour
Why do cities put an unnecessary amount of stress on their populace? It's like they want me to break down and start shooting every cunt I see.
>>34962527
Considered getting one at Rio Salado Sportsman Club
>>34962527
I'm not a member, but my local indoor range is $50 to join and $30 a month unlimited weekdays, and $5 more a month to add weekends. The only long ranges are super duper fuddy and have a 2+ year waiting list from what I've heard. Kill me.
$10 a year outdoor range
100 yards with a couple of benches
Pretty much allowed to do whatever I want. Usually alone
>>34962527
>innablue
>innacity
>only viable range is out in the sticks
syracuse new york is a shithole
What the fuck at those prices. Outdoor ranges here are like $140 a year and some cost $20 a day. I don't even live by a big city.
>>34962527
Wait, is that actually true? He really installed the gas block wrong?
>>34962527
2 big ranges near me their membership fees are break even if you shoot 24x a year that's every 2 weeks
>>34962527
$75 dollars and 5 volunteer hours, which is well worth it for the facilities.
>>34962527
Nope. All the gun clubs around want 200-300 in membership plus 24hr volunteer time. Fuck that.
>>34962790
>There's a cash prize for anyone who manages to kill the groundhog living in the 25 yard berm
God dammit, I can't stop laughing at this and I don't know why.
>>34966183
It's the same around here, except there is a 2+ year waiting list and you need a member to vouch for you. It's like a fucking country club for rednecks. I fucking hate the east coast for shooting.
>live inna cornfield
>no public shooting land
>only 3 ranges within 100 miles
>one is private and not accepting more people
>another is private, cost $285/year, and has a waiting list
>one public indoor range that costs $20/hour and doesn't allow steel case or reloads
Life is suffering.
OP here...
$400 a year
8 Hours time
Free use of steel targets tho.
>>34962527
$130 a year. For me it's totally worth it. It has a 1000 yard range in addition to shorter ranges, pistol bays, casual shotgun, and rimfire silhouettes.
>>34962527
Current one was $150. Regular price is $10/hr and it's saved me a fortune.
>>34963716
Was just there today, loads of fun. ROs won't ever crack a smile though.
>too poor to afford own guns
>range won't let you rent firearms without bringing a friend
>don't have any friends
>tell them I'll come back another time
10 dollar membership, 3 dollar range fee.
Only paper targets hung on backstop. Usually no one there when I am. Could be a lot worse.
>>34964166
This. In Dayton all i can find is $200/year. At least it includes unlimited range time, transfers, and rentals...
>>34966963
long range alley? nwla?
>>34969580
bayou rifles, houston
>>34962527
Yes, 35 per year for a small town range.
Shoot skeet there every week and it has a 100 yard rifle range to play with.
>>34962527
You know I watched a Nutin Fancy video about Magpul Mossberg furniture and the entire video was just him talking about the concept of using a pump shotgun (A video he did already) and not once mentioned the install process how to install and failed even to talk about how the stock and forend feels or about the sling and light mounting options...it was just video of him running around shooting and talking about pump shotguns in general
His adding "Magpul" to the title was basically click bait. Only one of the three shotguns on the table had magpul furniture.
Nutn Fancy is a fucking Douche.
>>34962527
$50/year
>No caliber restrictions
>Full auto fine
>1000 yard rifle rang
>dedicated .22 ranges
>Outdoor pistol bays
>Indoor low velocity range (.22lr and slow pistol rounds)
>Trap and skeet range
Overall i think I'm underpaying
>>34970311
where is this place
>>34970320
Its in Idaho
http://cedarhillsgunclub.org
About $300/yr, cut in half if I contribute 16/hrs labor a year in maintenance and upkeep or volunteer to staff events. Its spendy but it keeps the disgusting poverty/slavshit out of my sight and I can shoot out to 1k yards, shoot clays, use the dynamic rifle range, use traditional covered rifle lanes, use a tactical pistol/shotgun pit, a covered outdoors handgun/black powder silhouette range, 60yd bow range, or go indoors with handguns. I like it a lot, totally worth it imo
>Are you a member at a range?
Rod & Gun Club.
>How much do you spend on your membership?
$35 per year.
>>34962527
No, game and fish runs it and it's only 5 bucks for the whole day. I love you Ben Avery
>>34970492
We're a bit spoiled by that place, aren't we? Gotta love it.
not a member but local gun range is $12 to shoot all day at rifle, pistol, and skeet range. wouldnt mind a longer rifle range, this one only goes out to 200 yards but whatever.
>>34963697
>no steelcase
its because theyre kikes who sell brass to reloaders and dont feel like picking through the steel case
>>34962527
What ever happened with that? I know they told him to fuck off essentially, but he seems like the guy that would keep trying.
>virginia beach
Only outdoor shooting range is damn near in North Carolina, is a bitch to get to, and costs nearly $20 an hour to shoot.
Every other place is indoor only, 25 yards tops, and costs $15 an hour to shoot. Then you have to buy their targets and ammo, on top of that.
membership at the cheapest is $200/year, unless you buy a gun from them then it's $85, renewing is $125. Then, you have the pleasure of shooting in a half-lit range, full of numbskull navy bros showing their girlfriends how cool their tavors are.
>virginia beach is weird
I split the cost of membership with my brother, it comes out to $210 annually.
The nice thing is that it's indoor, and I can go whenever it's open for an hour at a time
>>34963697
See I understand the short range thing, real estate and just general buyable space is pretty fucking expensive in cities.
No outdoors in cities because ricochets and soccermom driving through the same block hears gunshots and proceeds to call 911 to the range.
>>34964098
Buffalo is similar. Best bet is to drive to the sticks
>>34963697
I know that feel. One indoor range, and one outdoor range run by fudds with the same rules as the indoor range.
>>34962527
$100 initiation fee
$70 a year after that
Berms w/ target stands at 25, 67, 100, 200, 300
Steel targets at 100, 200, 300
Skeet range
I'm pretty happy with it.
Not currently, but considering some of the shit rules with the local ones I'm thinking of opening my own sometime (not many to begin with either locally). Land and zoning is a bit of a bitch due to local municpal bullshit, but I think I got a place.
What would anons think for a basic 300m range w/ some bells and whistles a general membership fee of 120yr, but paid by what you do a month? So, if you use a month, that's 10 per but if you don't use a month, it won't cost you. 30usd minimum per year if you decide to skip out on fuck all, and you don't get accousted a month if you only show up 2 days or less that month (3day minimum to count a month).
I'd try to pull in more on other sales. There's a LGS nearby that's a bro and could probably set up a deal with him for ammo for the range for people to buy that'd be a bit cheaper than local retail (state laws are shit which == nearly impossible to buy ammo online). Maybe some moving targets for some grant with the cops to train at that you can rent out for a bit extra when they don't use it.
Obviously would forego the retarded rules like no steel case, and members who prove they can reasonably handle their firearm can forego any "shoot at <x> rate" bullshit.
I don't know. I have money and need to invest it, I like guns so I'm thinking on it. What do anons think?
>>34969825
damn that's cool, i am in SWLA
didn't know houston had a long range like that inside 99
