I work from home and help write digital textbooks for K-8 kids. I've been on autopilot for the last 8 months though since all we've been working on is math. I was an industrial painter for a little more than half a decade with some side jobs as a welder, then I got laid off and did construction because that was all that was available for me around here, and now I work out of a pharmacy as kind of a hybrid pharmacist's assistant/delivery driver and transfer drugs between pharmacies and hospitals and old folks homes but I don't see this as a career. Being a painter was the closest thing to a career I had but that is horrible for you (average life expectancy of someone who makes a career out of what I was doing was 55 years of age) but since getting laid off a few years back I haven't found anything I want to stick with and make into a career

Anyone here have a Vepr 12? I took mine to the range today and every cartridge stovepiped and each following round failed to feed if the magazine was in. When I removed the magazine the round fed in immediately and if fired the cartridge ejected properly as well. Usually problems similar to mine arise when using SGM mags or birdshot with the weapon, but I have not used either. I'm freshly a hasgunz that doesn't have much experience with guns, I'm not quite sure what to do

Try a bunch of different loads, buy more mags and figure out if it's a problem with your shotgun, magazines, or just your ammo selection.

My Vepr 12 has occasional FTF and Stovepipes, even with hotter loads, but I've never had an issue with every shell in a magazine unless they were stored for too long.

Used to have one. So the first break in rounds you are probably going to have some stovepipes and weird shit. It may run birdshot later ok, but first few hundred rounds you want to run buckshot or slugs or something hot. Some people say they've used sgm mags with success, they NEVER worked for me. Just use Russian mags, even if it's only the 5rd ones.

I shoot trap and skeet with mine every week. Until it gets super dirty, it'll eat any birdshot like a champ. And then it's just a shot per few hundred or so that might not eject and gets returned to the chamber. It only happens on the last round that triggers the BHO so it doesn't really effect my shooting.
I guess one thing I've usually done to break in new guns a bit is rack the slide as fast as I can for a while to smooth things out.
Webm related, caught one of the rare stovepipes on camera. You wouldn't believe how dirty the gas system was. This malfunction prompted me to clean it finally.

My favorite shotgun I've ever held, that's for sure. The mag release is so nice on it(webm related at the end) and the safety is my favorite on any ak. It takes no time at all to grab and swap mags from my pouch.
I'd been eyeing saiga12 shotguns for years, but not enough to ever buy one. Too many things I didn't like about it, no matter which conversions I saw. And I always heard they had a lot of problems with lighter loads.

I would recommend a red dot for your first AK optic.

Unless you live in the rural midwest where the average engagement distance is 600yds you won't get your money's worth out of a magnified optic. 0 to 300yds is easily handled with a red dot. If you zero at 25yds your elevation should be within 6" of POA out to 300yds.

I'm sure it's not the top tier even in a town of under 2000, but it's more important that I'm happy for an extra 8 hours a day more than most people I know, and can be flexible and do farm stuff too. And the busiest seasons for computer work are the quietest for farm work and vice versa, so it's pretty perfect. I enjoy computer repair, so it barely feels like work anyway.
It's not a get rich quick scheme, but it's pretty decent money. I could make more, but I try to price things fairly and not rip people off.

One thing to keep in mind about the Rakurs is it has a slight negative zoom, like 0.95x. When looking through with both eyes open it can be kinda wonky out to like 30 or 40 yards, but once you're out farther than that it's fine and plus if it is wonky just close your non dominant eye and it's fine

o i traded a slr-104fr for what i assumed was a fully converted saiga in 5.45. everything looked great at the ffl, finally got around to putting lots of rounds trough it and noticed some issues. the first 500 rounds through it had no issues, now with circle 10 and 21 mags it refuses to feed the last 3 rounds in the magazine, instead they jump the chamber and get jammed under the bolt with the bullet touching the top of the chamber, same thing with v project polish mags and bulgy commercials, and russians bakes, the only ones it seems to feed 100% with are russian plums, is this a bullet guide issue, if so how would i fix it, the current bullet guide looks welded in place
