Looking for a Russian Mosin Nagant under 150

Fucking no, lol.
>>
It's not 2011

This isn't a classified listing website either retard
>>
Nice trips, but those times have long past. We're in an age of cheap ARs and Sub-$250 new production rifles, the age of the Mil-surp is ending, and I doubt any new kits maybe coming from other nations.

Find a private seller on craiglist, look at pawn shops or, hope to get lucky at a gun show, otherwise you are outta luck. The best you could shoot for is $250 sold publicly+shipping+FFl which is around and extra 50 in costs
>>
>>34956777
you can get a beat to shit one for $200 plus shipping and transfer.
>>
>>34956777
>moist nugget under 150 in the $CURRENT_YEAR
LMAO
>>
>>34956777
Too late, SAMCO spanish mauser time.
>>
I found a respectably beat up one for 225 at a pawn shop literally 5 blocks away
Do I buy it /k/omrades? It'd be my first nugget

Idk man, I got a really nice one on armslist for $200. You could do better, maybe.
>>
>>34956991
ammo costs more than 308 now, i wouldn't pay $200 for a 91/30
>>
>>34956810
lol no

but, in your searches, I'd love to hear of a sub $400 Arisaka that's not a bunch of parts banging together in a Hefty bag.
>>
>>34956970
$180 + shipping + FFL is already well over OP's price. The days when you bought milsurp just to get a cheap shooter are long gone. The standard poorfag gun these days is a Maverick 88, which can be had for $200 plus or minus $20. I got mine last November at Dick's Sporting Goods for $179 on sale, so after taxes and DROS it was a couple bucks over $200. It's well-built and reliable - there's nothing wrong with it at all.
>>
>>34957027
I got a decent one for $325 here in NorCal.

>>34957027
Buy mine, it's a shooter, but the stock is best described as "beaver chewed", the front metal is damaged, the dust cover and monopod are missing, and the stock screws aren't "stock". Comes with half a box of 7.7.

$100 f2f Minnesota.

With patience you'll still find Finn M39 for $350. If you're only going to own one go for the Finn.
>>
>>34957195
This one is Russian from WWII, supposedly was actually in combat
Are the finnish ones really that much better?
Also if I were only to own one I'd want one with a PU scope
>>
>>34957145
that means absolutely nothing other than it looks rough. all arisakas even in the latest stages of the war were manufactured to be as combat effective as possible to the same quality control as pre/early war standards. last ditch arisakas only have unnecessary ease of life features missing like the aircraft sights, monopd, and metal butt plate.

the Japs were at least faithful to their weapons to the end. it was considered shameful to issue weapons that were of poor quality and disrespectful to those that they considered were going to be making the ultimate sacrifice
>>
>>34957221
also ignore the nambu, that was a mistake. japs cant into pistols. everything else was pretty spot on though

>>
>>34956991
If you want a Mosin, go for it. They're a bit more expensive now but they're still kickass rifles.

I paid $250 for my M44 and have no regrets.
>>
>>34957211
>This one is Russian from WWII, supposedly was actually in combat

So were 30,000,000 others. Not at all special. The Finnish rifles have better barrels, sights and stocks on a generally Russian made receiver.
>>
>>34957389
always russian receivers
>>
>>34957412
No, there have been Chatterault, Westinghouse and Remington receivers found on Finns
>>
>>34957412

Quite a few out there with American and French receivers. I've always wondered why so many happened to be built on pre-1899 receivers though.
>>
>>34957516
The Finns got the vast majority when they became independent from Russia in 1917. Logic would dictate that a large portion of those would be early production. The Russians would mostly be sending the brand new production to the front line units while the Finns got the older Mosins.

Ha! What a funny joke!
>>
Since this is a shit thread i might as well ask. What is the new equivalent of the nugget ammo wise? Im a poorfag college student and im tired of having to be stingy as fuck with my 9mm
>>
>>34957660
Are you asking for a rifle caliber that's good to buy in bulk? Get a 300-350 dollar AR in a few months or on Black Friday and get into 5.56. Good starting point.

AR's > Milsurp. Least until the bubble pops, but figgit, ride that bitch all the way home.
>>
>>34957609
Yup
>>
>>34957696
An AR or a Maverick 88. Both .223 and 12 gauge can be had very cheap.
>>
>>34957660
You might get an axis in .223 or .308.

.308 is about 50 cents per round, .223 is closer to 30.

That's plinkin' ammo prices, good .308 starts at a dollar for kore-lokt or power-shock.
>>
>>34957027
Honestly if it doesnt have the Mum they arent going to be that high. Even less if its missing the monopod, dustcover, or has broken aircraft sights.
>>
>>34957696
>>34957733
Hory shet since when is AR so cheap? Why didnt anyone tell me about this?

Also im gonna buy a cheap little single action 22 revolver to get my handgun fix for now since I'm too goddamn broke to shoot anything else i have
>>
>>34957776
That's what happens when you listen to oldmemes.
>>
>>34956810
ARs seem to be creeping back up to normal prices, we may have to end this meme soon
>>
>>34958622
That was inevitable. Manufacturers overproduced thinking a Hillary win would cause more panic buying, and when The Donald won, gun sales collapsed and they were left with a glut. Dumping it at rock-bottom prices is clearing unsold inventory, but we're seeing the beginnings of that being soaked up by the market and prices starting to rise. The days of the $350 AR are probably pretty numbered - I'd guess prices will stabilize around $500 for ARs that aren't complete pieces of shit within the next 6-12 months.
>>
>>34957011
Did you or the previous owner refinish that stock? It looks a little too light colored and clean lol
>>
ask this old tony if he can give you a lift back to five years ago on his lathe
>>
>>34956777
I bought my first mosin the other day, and I am in the process of cleaning it. What do you guys typically do for a cleaning procedure? Is it alright to just use the cleaning rod and some cotton to apply oil, then wipe it out until clean? Also should I leave a layer of oil inside the gun for storage?
>>
>>34958725
I'm betting 3-6 months. Windhams are already ~$550
