I once saw something saying that about 359 people would have to be killed to make a longsword out of their blood's iron. If this is true, about how long would it take to make a sword out of your own blood?

Multiply by 9 pints and 6 months.

Do your own algebra dumbass.
it's damn near impossible to get elemental iron out of the hemoglobin molecule
but if you figure it out, please try a small amount before investing literal years of your life to draining your veins constantly

The iron in a heme molecule is basically rust as well. Iron (II and III) oxide. I'm not a chemist, but you'd have to do some kind of reaction to take it back to a usable compound. So you'd not even get the full yield of the "iron" in the body.

Don't believe the haters, OP. I believe in you. Do the right thing, for science.
