They are an unlicensed copy of the Browning/FN Hi-Power, they are decent pistols that go for $250-350 in today's market, just beware that newer versions may look like HPs but they will have S&W style internals. That's about all I know.

Mines not great. Finish is trash. But my main problem is randomly the hammer wont fully cock itself when i release the slide. It releases forward to the half cocked posistion. My guess is there is a problem with the hammer spring but idk.

I paid $400 for my israeli surplus Hi power 3-4 years ago.
Great gun, some finish wear, but shoot fantastically. Never had any problems with it.
There is a guy on GunBroker that use to import and sell them for a good price cdisales, not sure if he has any right now.

The springs on mine were all worn out too. Couldn't get through a full mag without multiple FTE's. I think that heavy ass slide really does a number on the springs.

I got mine cheap and rust blued it because the finish was severely worn. Shoots fine and the trigger is much nicer now that I have removed the magazine disconnect safety.

I cant find mags below $27 lately. 13 round mec gars, browning marked ones are stupid $40+ and I won't buy a 10 because I don't live in a cucked state.

I think you can get 13 rounders for $16 on GunBroker. At least, that's what the add a few posts up advertises. I really don't want to shill for that seller, though, because I've never bought from them, but they're in the top 100 sellers.

excellent guns, they were $200-$300 in the 90's. Mags and grips are hi-power compatible, but most of the internals are not.

Some have really nice blueing.
