Stupid question, but not knowing how California law works on this issue, assuming you're looking to get around the approved list, couldn't you just buy one of any number of different .40 calibers pistols that is on the approved list, and then buy an after market .357 Sig conversion barrel? Theoretically that'd be all you need, the mags and springs should all be the same, so it's literally a part that requires no FFL transfer that you could even by out of state if you wanted to. Or is that on the no-no list in the People's Republic of Cuckifornia?
