The Army has construction engineers that handle that type of thing. Welding, dirt moving, carpentry (God fucking help you) base improvement, etc. It's one of those jobs that people who wash out of other jobs end up in. We had 3 females who washed out of Combat Medic school, it was pretty fucking hilarious how much they wanted to kill themselves.

I think the worst part of getting an MOS like that is the fact that you'll probably be doing a lot of work with civilian contractors who are doing literally the exact same job for way, way more money and less bullshit.
