I've never owned a Glock in my life. I think the guns are decent for the price, but mostly mediocre and innovation-less.

But if they came out with a single stack 19 and tried to give it the thinnest grip possible I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Nobody has done this, except maybe Kahr. It's either SS subcompact or DS compact/full size, where's the middle ground?

It's a way more expensive pistol than neccesary, and it seems like most people buy them for the name that it carries.

Colt and Beretta make aesthetically pleasing pistols that lay in the hand nicely. The glock just seems bulky. Even Bersa pistols are less bulky.

but memes aside, Glock has EXACTLY one pistol product. Many variations, but ultimately just one gun. I think, personally, they were successful with their first main design, and are scared to branch out. They have a solid marketshare for LEO, military, and home defense, so there's no need to expand into alternative products. They dont want to copy-paste the AR or AK design, they have no experience with shotguns.

They had early success, so now they ride the coat-tails of that success, with only minor variations and updates so as to not threaten their image and minimize loss.
