I'm pretty sure my SKS wasn't modified for detachable mags. It came with a matching 10 round fixed mag like usual.

I found two of those 30 rounders at my local shop and they fit pretty well so I got them. They are finicky to get in sometimes though. I have to rock them in at the perfect angle for them to hold.

There's this one that switches the mag release from the heel to the side like most US handguns. It also protects you from slide bite. I'd get that one if you are going aftermarket, although it's better I just can't see taking the sexy red Bakelite off of it. Too aesthetic.

Semi related to recent acquisitions, it's a potential recent acquisition

Talked to my dad today and he said his buddy got him a deal for "a 7mm Mauser and an M1 Garand" for $750 in total. I have no pics yet. Even if the two are sporterized beyond recognition is this something to look forward to?

It's some thing with a pawn shop, the guy he's buying it from is currently using it as an asset and if the pawn shop values just the Garand at about $400 then it oughtta be worth upwards of $1,000. Right? I'm not so interested in the Mauser but it's a package deal.

lgs here in NM, came as is, no box and with a commie kalifornia 10rnd mag but I'm still over the moon for it. evidently it's a regular guy at the lgs who routinely comes in and rotates through guns like nobody's business. it's date '03 but I honestly don't think he put 100 rounds through it, even if that.

my birthday was Sunday and I was saving cash and then saw it at the store, had it listed for $700 but said they don't do layaway, told them I could put half down and have the rest by end of next week. so they call the dude and they get him down to $650 for it. put 350 down Tuesday and was able to get the rest of it together yesterday so I picked it up

Found this in a pawn shop in eastern North Carolina for $420, had to buy it because I've been looking for a gen 1 Glock for a long time. Made in May of '88 I think. Previous owner put on a flared magazine well and the extended magazine and grip tape, which I removed. It also has tru-dot sights, unfortunately. Not exactly mint but I didn't want to pay 750 + shopping and transfer for one off GunBroker.

The guy at the store thought the gen 1 finish was stippling and insisted it was a gen 2.

It came in the M16A1 parts kit I got from whatacountry, along with everything else beside the magazine, lower, barrel, and sling. It was $500 for the kit I think.
