I will admit to being a member but only at the "fine we will only charge you $20, please join and give us any money" rate. I pay full amount to the 2AF, GOA and the NJ2AS. When I get any requests for money, I send a membership form to the NJ2AS and a list of gun laws passed without so much as a whisper from the NRA or its NJ affiliate.

I am simply because my gun club range requires NRA membership for insurance purposes.
