The Mauser earns points for
A E S T H E T I C
but the Luger is probably functionally better
Mauser with stock. Red fucking 9
I like the Luger aesthetic more, toggle and all.
The carbine gets me especially hard.
>>34926878
the Luger makes my dick hard and I don't care who knows it
>>34926923
the luger is 100x more a e s t h e t i c than the fugly awkward looking broomhandle

C96
>Aesthetics
>Both equal reliability because they are recoil operated
>C96 bolt goes straight back while gay luger flips up in the way.
>C96 has a straighter recoil and easier to shoot.
>C96 has better saftey.
>Stripper clips at the time were more effcient than mags.
>Lugers are too tight, with age they gum up.
>C96 is just right, and shoots reliability to this day.

Luger is more practical. Personally I like the mauser tho.

This guy's heart is in the right place but nah.

Carbines are over rated.

I'd take one of the automatic versions of the Mauser over a Luger any day, but otherwise it's iffy.
Both are super sexy as carbines, though.
>>34926878
Objectively, Luger. A E S T H E T I C S are subjective. Granted, I'd love to have one of those Automatic C1917s with a 40 round detachable magazine.

Beautiful indeed
>>34927018
I agree with you on most things but the C96 isn't safer, have you tried to unload one? Working that bolt one by one until its empty with no safety on is awkward. I do prefer striper clips over magazines tough.
You damn well know which one
>>34926878
The one that started it all.

Luger is overly complicated and prone to jamming. Mauser is simple and durable. Plus, oh so sexy.
I really do wish that someone would start putting out a technically updated C96 in some modern calibers.
.45 ACP/10mm C96 with ergonimc grips, threaded barrel and rails for optics/lighting would give any man a chubby. Add in a detachable box mag, magwell grip and a detachable buttstock and suddenly you've got a PDW/sidearm that would make the Dali Lama kick a nun in the crotch.

It's called a kriss vector
>>34928682
>Ugly
>outrageously expensive (even the autoloader version)
>NOT suitable for OC/CC
for the size, you'd be better off with an actual carbine.
>>34928628
InRange did a Luger submersed in mud jam test. Worked a treat.
>>34928557
Remove the floorplate, done.

The HMG stg44 should be an object lesson why no-one truly wants a new production c96.
And have you ever seen a .45 c96? They're all swollen and ugly.
