I have a Ruger P91DC from around 1993, which my father gave me a few years ago when I turned 21.
I love the gun. Feels nice and solid, really good bedside piece. I wouldn't trust the old thing at too much further than 30-40 yards, but it helps me sleep well at night. Eats just about any ammo I have thrown at it with jams being pretty rare.
I also love the aesthetic design. Just the overall look of the thing, maybe some bias from being my first handgun.
That said, the thing is heavy as sin and a bulky, full-size pistol. I like that when it just stays by my bed, but I wouldn't want to carry this thing at all.
So, I'm looking for something a bit more modern and new that would be suitable for a carry.

Ruger P-Series, it ain't gonna win beauty contests, but if I want a gun that will shoot whatever the fuck I put in it, it's a good choice for me.
They had a sale on P89s a while ago and I picked one up. Aftermarket is fucked, but I got a gun that goes bang with pretty cheap magazines.
