I'm designing a .223 Wylde/6.5 Grendel semi-automatic carbine, but i'm having trouble deciding what kind of wooden foregrip to have on it; a short one that stops and reveals the naked barrel ala M1 Carbine, or one that covers almost the entire barrel ala Breda PG.

Lame, do something like 357 magnum or 9mm for cheap plinkeronis for everyone. Seriously, the prices for marlin camp rifles suck ass, it would be nice to have something like those but in 357 mag, 9mm, and 45 acp.

What kind of action? Gas or recoil? Using ar mags? Barrel length? More info please.
