I carry a near stock G17.. Only things I did to it was mount the largest grip thingy that came with the pistol, replace the sights with Trijicon Night Sights, put in a minus connector and a mag well plug. That's it.

If you want to shoot fast get one of these, it alters the dynamics of the gun pretty drastically and allows you to get back on target much quicker than you normally do.

Shoot more talk less. Bait less. Tungsten guide rod is for weight and balance (consistency more than any reason in 9mm if you shoot with one for awhile you're gonna want it but more in other calibers, also most allow aftermarket spring for tuning to your competition load), magwell is for reloads, slide lightnening cuts is a tuning thing just like springs (but for most it is really just because of how they look and "my race/tier1 custom gun that I barely ever shoot")

I had to pay like $80 for 2 M40A1 mags I had to order, while there are carbine kits for my G19 I inherited
