>>
>>34911081

>>
pretty sure Austria is better at this point, not to mention the various eastern European countries with shall-issue CCW.

same country that also isn't having to deal with the immigration crisis iirc

didn't they choose to pay a huge fine instead of taking in muslims?
>>
>>34911184
Switzerland is in Schengen and has a higher Islamic % population than the UK.

Czech Republic, Serbia, Finland and Northern Ireland have better gun laws than Shitzerland.
>>
>>34911212
what am i thinking of then? I know there was a european country that denied muslims and chose to pay tons of money in fines instead

>Yes, many people have guns at home, but they sure as hell don't keep them loaded, most people actually find the requirement to keep them kind of annoying, and if you own more than one gun people will consider you a bit odd. Guns are actually strictly regulated, as Switzerland's army is effectively a.. cough well-ordered militia.
>Just to make it really clear, Swiss people will look very funnily at you and step back carefully if you start talking about OMG GUN RIGHTS HOME PROTECTION SECOND AMENDMENT FREEEEEDUHM. As far as they're concerned, guns are things you shoot either at the range or in the army. Or at Knabenschiessen.
>If you shoot someone breaking into your house you will go to prison. On the other hand, the likelihood of your house being broken into is relatively low, and if you call the police they will arrive quickly.
>That's probably enough about guns. But gosh, some people sure have some funny ideas about the Swiss and guns.

In Switzerland you can't use more force than the guy in front of you or you will go to prison.

You are allowed to defend yourself by using reasonable force.

What is reasonable force? If your a 120lbs skinny accountant or a woman and you get attacked by Tarek The Mad Butcher, a 6 feet, 240 lbs Turk with violent intentions, you're absolutely allowed to shoot him in self defense. Or if Abdul The Snake attacks you with a knife, you're absolutely allowed to shoot him, too. On the other hand, you'll have a hard time convincing the judge that a unarmed woman or a kid were a threat to your life.

Since the law is about self defense, you're only allowed to defend yourself from an immediate threat. You're not allowed to shoot a guy that is running away or that is breaking in a shop.

Self defense is very complex. There aren't two cases that are the same.

Exported so the King Under The Mountain can amass more shekels.
For real, every Swiss person I've met share the #1 spot on my list of most stingy, greedy, penny-pinching motherfuckers I've ever met, and their language sounds like someone crunching up a bowl of oats with a defect hand blender with some throat-clearing noises inbetween.
And their women look strange.

The gun laws here could be rightfully loosen up by not having to have a special permit to acquire sound suppressors, lasers and stuff like that just because some politards took hollywood movies for real.

The Czechs are in the process of creating their own version of the 2nd Amendment, and their government actively advocates gun ownership and carry for self defense.

Oh look, it's another episode of "Americans arguing with other Americans about foreign gun laws, while basing their knowledge on things yet other Americans have said in previous Chinese whispers threads"

Also,
>American education, folks!
>>
>>34916258
God bless the Czechs. They know what it's like to have no access to firearms, recently with the Germans and then the Russians, where the former banned them and the latter only permitted them to lackeys. Even earlier in their history the Hussite rebellion was just a bunch of men with firearms and wagon forts that beat the Catholic nations that tried to subdue them and made them capitulate. Firearms are as integral to the Czech identity as defenestration and beer.

>>34916413

>>
>>34911404
NI and CZ allow concealed carry. That alone is better than Switzerland.

Great, if you live in Switzerland, are a Swiss citizen and complete the mandatory conscription and have an inch thick folder full of doctor's notes you can buy government approved weapons to shoot on a government approved range when they say so. Bad luck if you don't own your own home, because renting and gun ownership is impossible, or if the police don't like you, or if you've ever had a parking ticket, or if you don't hand over your medical history and internet use, or if you don't agree to the mandatory inspections carried out by the Swiss Army on your mandatory bunker every year.
>>
>>34919267
Not a single one of those things is true, so fuck off.

You can buy any semi autos as a foreigner living in a rented appartment Switzerland, no medical checks required. Bunkers haven't been mandatory since the mid 90s.

>>34911212

>>34919267
I didn't do conscription, never went to see a shrink. If I want guns, I just download the Gun Aquisition request document, fill it and send it in. About two weeks later, I receive the Aquisition license that allows me to purchase up to three guns (if I want more I can just request more licenses). Then, I can walk in any gun shop, show the license and my ID and walk out of the store with guns and as much ammo as I want. No need for gun classes, exams, gun club membership, gun safe, etc.
>>
>>34911255
Czech republic did that too. They took in 12 (in total) refugees, but as of right now, these rapefugees are gone and nobody knows where they went

You don't need to conscript as non-swiss can buy guns

You can buy any firearms except for explosive launcher

There are private ranges

Parking tickets are in no ways determining for getting an acquisition permit. And you don't need to give out your medical history and internet use.

No inspections either. And even if there were, you can simply refuse as it's in your rights

Also bunkers aren't mandatory anymore since 20+ years now
