I might break down and spend like $150 for a one of those, but I heard the plastic is brittle on some.

There was a guy on eBay that had a bunch on nos ones for sale.
They are great though. also they suck since it has a thin metal butt plate, it hurts your cheek when you shoot it, and the pistol grip will hurt your wrist after a few shots folded.
But it just has that cool factor and I love it.

anyone familiar with the Browning A5, Rem 1100, or other takes on the gun? I'm getting a Browning soon, got some replacement springs and other recoil system bits and gonna get it looked over since its been in a closet for a good while most likely. But I'm just curious what anyone thinks or has to say about them from experience.

Nice 520, I had one for a little while but the barrel was too long at the original field configuration for the woods that I shoot in. I sold it because I couldn't bring myself to chop it.

>>34916631
Your bolt Sears shotgun is in a lot better condition than mine, that's pretty sweet. And as for your hammergun shotgun, what's the deal with it, how does it work and who made it? I've seen it a couple of times and been curious about it.

Shortening a barrel from its original length is illegal in Canada I do believe
>>
>>34920742

only if you below 18".

>>34919943

unless you get lucky on an equipment exchange, or import one, you won't. ithaca has no distributors up here.
>>
>>34917805
Right on, I got mine for $75 but a portion of the barrel was cut off that contained the front bead and another piece was welded on, for what purpose I don't know. Also sadly the stock has developped a long hairline crack so I'm not sure how much time the poor thing has left. But for $75 I couldn't say no to a tube fed bolt action shotgun, it's a really cool beast and I regret nothing.

>>34919943
And yeah take it to a gunsmith and have it chopped or, if you're feeling brave do it yourself. You can go to 18.5" and no shorter. But it's completely legal to do so yourself or have it modified that way, if you want barrels in this country shorter than that they have to be factory produced and your gun has to meet the 26" overall length requirement to remain non-restricted.

>Lmao is that the SAS 12?
Took it out today for the first time and it actually ran amazingly well! All I've done to it was remove the cosmoline and put a healthy smear of Hoppes #9 on every surface.

Shot both boxes of pic related and only had three failures: the high brass had two FTFs and one stovepipe. The stovepiped round was one of the FTFs, so it may have been an out of round shell? And then one FTF with the low brass bird shot.

All these videos of people not being able to cycle 00 buck and the like and mine is here chewing through cheap walmart 8 shot.

I guess this is the shotgun general. Anyway, I have a question. Whats a good way to carry 30-ish rounds of 12 gauge? Not really for 3 gun or anything, just general use/combat. I would prefer something like a pouch, close to the body, not like one of those shitty sling deals

My 112 year old Winchester 1897 Takedown Field gun, the barrel has been cut down and I had to tape the buttpad down until I have enough money to have it replaced. Shoots like a dream though and can slamfire, I love her guys.

>>
>>34927777
I like my 50 round shoulder slung bandoleer, not sure if that's what you're referring to. But I take it with me in the woods all the time, holds all my buck, slugs, bear bangers and birdshot.
>>
>>34927848
You can't because the barrel lug sits in front of the mag tube.
