Guns you haven't found the situation in threads to discuss, or bring up, post here.
Whitworth Rifle has caught my fancy as of late. Something about such an accurate muzzle loader that also served as a noteworthy weapon for the Confederates just catches my fancy real good.
I really want a good image of it's sight picture.. I need to look and see if repros of it are a thing.

>In 1860, the British National Rifle Association held its first annual meeting at Wimbledon. Queen Victoria fired the first shot from a Whitworth rifle on a machine rest at 400 yards, and struck the bull's-eye 1-1/4 inch from its center.
Apocryphal or not, that's pretty fucking baller.
I've always had a huge soft spot for the various versions of the Hall Rifle, especially the 1841 percussion model. The first breechloading rifle used in large numbers by any army, but almost totally obscure today. I used to live in Harpers Ferry, where it was invented and manufactured, and they had a bunch of examples on display.
