I've been looking into getting another milsurp ever since I bought my first Mauser a few weeks ago.
I wanted either a Mosin or Enfield and something a little more portable so I settled on this 7lb beauty.
Yeah, she is reminiscent of bubba jobs, but the receiver cuts and weight allow me to forget about that. The one thing I'm worried about is all this talk of "wandering zero" and how these are super inaccurate because of the receiver cuts I mentioned. Should I still get it? Anything I use it for will be pretty close up so I don't know how big of a difference being off zero will make.

After you shoot it you won't care about accuracy because they kick like mules

Make sure you are getting a real one. There's a lot of fakes out there. Big difference between the original Jungle Carbine that was made by the Brits and someone that a company cut up after the fact that are "sporterized" Jungle Carbines.
I have one. I only shot it a few times and it was going high. Didn't try to correct it so I don't know about wandering zero but I think it's not too big of a problem desu.

I had one and it shot wonderfully. It shot a little high as well. Great action.
Strangely I wound up having to move to Britain and had to get rid of it. I should of left it with someone. When I came back after a decade I missed it.

If the plan is just to use it for it's original intended purpose as a scrub gun, then you'll love it.
