I'm fine with the format of their videos. They don't need to hire anyone to make their videos flashy like other channels going for mass appeal. The audio doesn't need to be perfect either, it just shouldn't be bad enough to where it's distracting. She just needs to learn how to reduce noise, compress, normalize the audio, maybe a new mic as well. People are a lot less forgiving with sound quality than they are with video.

Aside from bunch giant channels owned by corporations or done purely professionally, youtubers generally don't have professional editors or audio people. Most channels are ran by a single guy or maybe few guys, all amateurs, even the channel has become their actual job. They learn to do better editing along the way.
