i mean, we were supposed to train the local forces to help repel isis. ended up guarding an airfield for 8 months; ie watching the inside of t walls while pulling radio guard. other units in our brigade got to set up a fob up north, only to not see shit. even the eod guys attached to the seals didn't get to do shit. trust me dude, afghanistan would be a much more badass deployment.
