With recent events i've been worrying about my safety and i'm looking into getting a ccw. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good light gun that's not too heavy or poorly made? I checked out a sig p232 but it was too stiff and heavy for me.

I love the idea of a woman carrying a P232 but probably your best bet is something like a Walther PPS or something like that: single stack and polymer frame. There are a few options. Or there is also aluminum alloy like CZ 2075 RAMI
Keltec P3AT, Sig P238 or P938, Glock 26 42 or 43, CZ 2075 RAMI, Ruger LCP, S&W Sheild are all fair options in alloy or polymer.
Narrow it down - do you want double stack (thicker but more rounds) or single stack (thinner but less rounds)? Do you want a safety or not? Do you want striker or hammer fired?
Honestly best option is to go into a store, ask for advice, and fondle some guns until you find the right fit.
You're welcome to fondle my big black Glock, by the way.

you want heavy
heavy means less recoil
uninformed novices think small light guns that are too tiny to hold will be easier to shoot than a standard fullsize gun. the reverse is true.
