Does it really matter if an AR has a chrome lined barrel or not?

Only if you shoot all day every day for months at a time.
Then you are probably deployed special operations, are using an issued gun, and have a giant logistics chain behind you to replace any parts.

>poorfags will say no
Yes
Nah it doesn't matter. If it did companies wouldn't be moving away from it

only if you use corrosive ammo, not found often today in 5.56, chrome lining doesn't hurt anything of course but don't spend extra for it. it's like the forward assist, gov. required it when first adopted but times change.

Of womt matter once ceramic lining processes are perfected
>>34899942
It does knock your MOA up a little, not by much to be significant though
Less accurate
Only matters if you shoot shit ammo and don't clean
There's no reason for chromed bores in 2017, better processes exist
I got no hard evidence one way or the other, except that a shit ton of guys shoot comps with stainless, and they don't seem to replace barrels much faster than anyone else.
