I use a FNAR with a vx3 6.5-20 varmint scope. It's a good combo. 7.62 is hardly a big rich person round though. More like a poorfag long-action substitute.

I had a gen 1. It was fine. Reasonably accurate 2 inch groups with ball ammo. Reasonably reliable as well. I will probably get another with the deal prices going on. I have a FAL, PTR and a decent Rem 700 so it felt redundant. I made ok money on it during the election.

its basically big ar. you slowly upgrade the lego rifle until it's exactly what you want. nothing really matters except the chamber/feedramps and barrel, bolt carrier too i guess but issues with that are even less common. what is there to worry about? finish? you'll probably end up spray painting gay cammo or cerakoting it anyways. you get a lifetime warranty as well so fuck it what are your other options for the price? even the century shit08 guns are more expensive without their rebate now.

I'll be finding out in a few days I just ordered the clasic lower today when i got the VP9 tactical from PSA. It was too good a deal to let slide. Now I need a good upper to come back in stock and order some appropriate glass for it.

Remington 700 AAC-SD with basic Nikon and some extras. Shoots sub half MOA with handloads.

My guns are cheap. Sub $1500 as they sit. Definitely not rich people guns and I would say they are better than OP's.

I had some Aguila 7.62 that I had lying around since Giddy gave me his extra. I wish I had more but hadn't had a chance to pick up more lately. Got the gas system dialed in though.

OP, is pic related yours? Who did the paint job on your M1A stock. I got similar one on mine. Bought the stock on old M14 forums. Probably same dude made them.
