Yeah that is a lot of shekels, but it would probably be the last winter jacket I ever have to buy...

Knowing Sportsman's Guide, it's probably a new old stock Chinese surplus trench coat.

Redpill me on Sportsmans Guide.

Hahaha nah man. You could get two nice condition full leather bombidere jackets for that much. One black one brown for variety.

Not him, but I used to work in their warehouse: the buyers sometimes made errors in knowing exactly what the surplus they bought was, and the fucking QC guys don't know much about milsurp so they don't catch it either.
They're still totally worth buying from though. I'm salty as fuck still about applying for a QC job because of my autist tier knowledge of their products (my mom had worked there since before I was born, I grew up on the shit they sell), but they said I wasn't qualified and made me a warehouse receiver instead which I fucken sucked at. They hired a dumb 18 year old kid to do QC, but not me. Still pissed about that, I'd have been great.

I love the complete disregard for human life in China.

Unless you want to collect authentic gear like that, you can surely find a repro for much less.

When there's a billion other people, there's not as much rarity in an average lad
>>34894479
You'll be paying way more for a new coat like that, so assuming it's in good shape and you have use for it, it's a fine deal.
>>34894654
As for that use would be... It's going to be some really cold weather where you have to use this. In non-siberian europe, these were the traditional winter clothes of sheperds, people who spend a lot of time outside with very little exertion.

Nah. My 50's Bundesluftwaffe greatcoat is simultaneously more aesthetic and comfier, and it cost me $30.
Plus it gets me called a Nazi every now and then, which is simultaneously baffling and hilarious.
