Bring food and water, comfy clothes, camping gear, good attitude. Guns and other fun stuff are optional, extra ammo or food to trade for trying out other folk's guns or food is always welcome.

DON'T:
Be a dick, do unsafe shit, break the law. Don't take pictures of people if they say not to, and don't post photos without blurring faces. Gotta keep up that PerSec yo.

Prep for:
Three days camping, food and water needs, weather being cold and/or wet as this is in October, and going to the range, e.g. bring eyes and ears, basic shit.

Expect:
Shitposting IRL, deep and heated discussions about guns, philosophy, beer, anime, and which tank you'd most want to fuck. There's some shooting competitions sometimes, campfire stories are possible, as are campfire cooking and general camp fucking about.

Expect a bit of awkwardness at first, but that'll be gone in about five minutes. Being at NF is like meeting up with long lost friends, it's a wonderful feeling.

Basically, come prepared for a good time camping, expect to see /k/ friends and anons being goofy and having fun, and be ready to miss everyone a whole damn lot come Monday.

Is there any sort of "reservation" or rather a need to say if you're going? Or is it more of a "show up and have fun no notification in advance"?

I've never been before and am just wondering if there is anything I need to do beforehand?

My situation is a bit wierd, because I can't park on site and have to pack in my gear, I sometimes end up sharing resources with people who were able to transport more. However, having some cash on hand, bringing a case of beer/smokes, giving impromptu cqc lessons, or helping people set up or tear down equipment goes a long way. But we love our generous kommandos. People could go full ancapistan and charge for things, but it's a party, not bartertown. Generosity is the norm. I remember one time ArdBoy had a 5 dollar "buy in" for steaks. And I think that went well. (Steaks were great, too.)

You don't have to, but it is always nice to have a rough idea of how many people will be showing up. Nuggetfest.com has a way to "sign up" on it, and I think creep keeps tally there.
