Daily reminder that the only acceptable glock mods (not accessories like flashlights etc.) are:
>Extended slide release and or takedown release if you have manlet hands
>New sights
>steel guide rod
Have a nice day :^)
>>34889422
Steel guide rod is fudd tier. The plastic rod bends slightly which helps putting the slide back into battery. Steel will only wear the slide more.
>>34889422
I agree with >>34889437
The steel rod I got wasn't worth it
Other than that the mods I have are the ones that came with it (G19 RTF2 vickers black), and an overwatch tac trigger and the strike control gadget for AIWB

I'm getting a free glock for shilling them so much this past two months, so that's pretty perfect.

Here. We have perfected your Glock.
Currently have a stock Gen3 G17 with a TLR-4 light.
Without any GLOCK PERFECTION memes, what would be some good additions/modifications to it?
getting a glock 19 soon, good idea?

Ok, now make it carry 3 or 4 more rounds. And also make it so it doesn't break when if I drop it or jam if I get it wet. And get rid of the paddle release. They're only good for manlets with stubby fingers.

how's more mags than a Glock ships with sound?
are you a l33t opr8tor coming out of the ocean to slay bodies? you'll be fine
Oh shit my bad. I could just cut a notch into the frame to reach the button easier. forget how common that is on gen3s. weird how they made the button bigger on gen 4s yet 3 is still more popular because glock somehow fucked up a glock. weird

I used to hate you. You're okay nigga
>>34891020
I personally would add;
Tango down extended slide release
Tango down extended mag release
Trijicon HD sights
OEM minus connector
Depending on what you like in a trigger, Apex if you like a da/sa take up then break, Overwatch TAC/DAT if you want a 1911 style glass rod break feel
>>34891077
Actually it's the same height as a g17 so it only would need to have 2 more rounds to be "perfect". Not that 15 vs 17 makes any appreciable difference.
>>34891291
Thanks nigga. Most people hate me because they see my blatant troll posts and their autism guarantees they reply, they don't see the posts of me helping others which I do quite frequently.
>>34891364
I'll take the HK steel mags for 2 rounds loss any day of the week.
>>34891291
>metal 3 dot sights
Not night sights though, so still need to be replaced.
>front slide serrations
Useless gimmick
>loaded chamber indicator (good if you have autism or are too weak to properly rack a slide)
Glocks have one too. In fact, theirs is better since it's tactile.
>larger slide release/stop
The stock one is too flat. Glock's stock slide release is tiny and flat too, but they both need replacing.
>actual 1913 rail
Not useful since all worthwhile accessories are built around the glock rail anyway
>better trigger
*lighter trigger
It has an extremely shitty take-up compared to a glock.
>SUPERIOR ambi mag release. just touch it with your index finger pleb
That requires shifting the gun in the palm of your hand, whereas a glock button release can be reached without moving your hand at all.
And the glock button can be switched to the right hand side if you have a gimp thumb and need to use your index finger for some reason.
>super comfy grip
Subjective. The finger ridges are too deep.
>that you can change to your liking rather than literally putting a piece of plastic over the back and driving a pin into it to keep it in place
Can I change it so that I get a frame without finger grooves like I can with a glock? No? That's shitty.
>no slide bite (only ever an issue if you're autistic or fat)
Yeah, but even if you're both of those, the gen 4 backstraps have beavertails that make slide bite impossible no matter how hard you try.
>4 mag rebate
In the Vp9 that adds up to like 30 shots.
>>34891364
Yeah, but you're forgetting that a VP9 is as thick as a glock 20. If they made a 9mm glock that thick, they'd have nearly enough for a triple stack mag.

Lulz
TLJ is muh nigga.
This seems like a good place to ask, so I just picked up a strike industries G4 slide compensator as a range toy, and it doesn't seem to fit my gen 4 slide properly.
This pic shows the comp angling upward when installed due to the alignment rod itself angling upward when placed through the guide rod hole. Does anyone have any experience with this comp? There shouldn't be any fitting required right?
I'll post a couple other pics for reference as well
>>34892587
Here's a close up of the fit. With the rod inserted all the way this is how the comp installs. The screw holes don't really line up.
>>34892587
And how I'm quite certain it's supposed to fit. The alignment rod won't go any further if you have the comp placed against the slide properly. If the rod is pushed further it pushes the comp out of alignment.
Do you think I just got a lemon in regards to the rod?
it has bolts for those dimples that aligns the comp.
>>34892743
Yeah I know, but the problem here is that the actual rod is way out of alignment. No amount of force is going to get that comp aligned properly like in the last pic. I assembled it with the set screws and it was the same. In fact the set screws won't actually seat properly due to the comp not aligning with the rod.

>>34892587
Says on their website it's for the longer slide 17/22, are you sure you have the right one?
>>34892806
They only make one, they say to just use a gen3 guide rod (which I am) for compact models. The slide dimensions are the same anyway no? The issue here is the rod isn't sitting flush inside the slide thusly pushing it upward.
>>34892652
Did it come with a gen3 guide rod?
>>34892873
It comes with a gen3 17 guide rod. I out in a gen3 19 guide rod. The guide rod isn't the problem. You see there's a rod which extends outward from the slide which the comp affixes to. That's not fitting flush within the slide. I'd post a pic but I'm not able to get the file size small enough on my phone rn.
