Okay so this laser cut Molle shit. I dismissed it pretty much immediately when it came out, but they seem to be pushing it pretty hard lately.
so far this is what my investigation (all hypothetical, i have never owned or tried it IRL) has yielded.
Pros:
-Cheaper to manufacture (laser cut, su you just take a piece of fabric and automate the process) ALTHOUGH, from what i've seen, that hasn't really translated into better prices for the average customer.
Cons:
Multiple slits with difficult access=potential for dirt and grime to get everywhere
One layer of cloth hanging only from the edges as webbing? i see potential for tears and ruptures
Potentially harder to attach pouches (?)
And finally the time came, the time when i found a product that i would reaaaally like to buy BUT
M O L L E 2 . 0
Shit
But here's the deal. Look, i'm sure it will be fine for everyday use in an urban environment, but that's not what i am interested in. Do i need any better? Probably not, but i'm sick and autistic and OCD so i want all my shit to be bombproof
So, help me /k/. Am I being unfair? Should i give it a go? or maybe I was justified in my prejudice and by buying into it i would just be feeding a forced shitty trend?
Let me know

>hasn't really translated into better prices for the average customer
They might be trying to pay off their new laser cutting machine and will lower prices when they've done that.

If it works and people are buying it, why the fuck would they lower the prices? the way i see it, if it really is worse and if they get their way pushing this trend, manufacturers would only be cutting down costs while keeping the same profit

If someone else realizes they have a laser cutter and buys their own laser cutter and accepts paying it off over a longer time period, they can offer a substitute product at a lower price.
