I work at a museum, and we are doing a world war 1 reenactment with a deactivated vicker's machine gun from world war 1. I need to find 5 minutes of clean audio (or more audio that I can edit down to 5 minutes) of one firing at targets for the display. Have any of you guys seen something like that? I haven't been able to find anything like it on youtube or anything. Pic related, it's our gun during one of our previous reenactments.
Bumping with more from the reenactment

We are not your army.
now get the fuck off the board and do your own god dam research
Forgotten weapons might have what you need in their vickers video.

If you cant find good audio for it from the video you should contact Ian with what you need, Im sure if he has unedited footage from the vickers shoot with the audio he would be happy to send it to you, especially for a museum demonstration.

What is even the point of having a deactivated gun in a museum? If it wasn't deactivated you could just shoot it yourself.

That looks perfect, I should be able to cut everything I need from that
>>34882987
The issue is I need different types of firing too, like sweeps and suppressing fire and single shots.

It's Canada. You can't have these things period unless they are deactivated. Plus it's in the middle of the city, beside the road.

Reactivate it and shoot it at attendees to get the the authentic experience of being cut down with the people you love

kek

Gonna be that autist here and say that that gun is a Maxim, not a Vickers.

You're absolutely right. We call it a vicker's because that's what went to war and it was an extremely similar gun, and part of me just forgot that it was not one. Good catch.

Are you going to give him credit in the museum exhibit?
>>34883314
"Big thank you to anon on /k/, for helping us source the sound effects for this event."
But yeah, probably.
>>34883381
I think he means the autor of the video.

Right on. I'm jealous of your job, btw. Also, what boots are the guy on the right wearing?
>>34883667
I don't know. I'll ask him on Saturday when we do the next one, and post some pics. I don't think they are anything special, but one reason they look that way is because he's wearing highlander puttees, which are a very unusual kind of leg wrap.

Thanks man, from Minnesota.
