So, functionally speaking how are FEGs? I'd like to get a BHP eventually but don't want to pay FN prices. Is the fit on FEGs much worse? or is it something that can be cleaned up with a little polishing and a trigger job?

Imho it'd be more like saying that the ar-180 is a copy of the AR. Definitely a little bit of hyperbole because there were significant changes but not entirely untrue either because both were designed around the idea of copying an earlier design and then improving it. CZs are directly based on BHPs, very father son relationship.

Every firearm using a browning style tilting lock is defacto related in a functional sense and also in an academic sense unless somebody else just so happened to design a tilting lock system without ever looking at or hearing about browning's.

More importantly though, the CZ and BHP are much closer together than say a 1911 and glock. They share more design similarities and the CZ was designed to do the same thing as the BHP but better.

saying a Glock is an improved copy of a 1911 therefor would be ridiculous while saying that the CZ is a copy of a BHP is more like making a joke about a probable relationship.

A BHP is an improved 1911 (tilting link to linkless barrel) retard. The CZ and the glock have the same amount of similarities to the BHP, in that the only similarities they have are a tilting barrel, along with every other handgun with a tilting barrel, you fucking idiot.

Im not even the guy who recommended CZ in the first place. The locking mechanism, barrel design, and other internal parts of a cz are much more similar to a BHP than the glocks. For instance the glock lacks barrel lugs, has a completely different firing mechanism(striker), and trigger design. It also is made of different materials. To suggest they're both just as similar to the BHP is ridiculous.
