I had an awesome lever action capgun that was built so well it almost looked real I used to watch John Wayne movies with it and shit. But a fucking dick threw it off the dock one day. I didn't get in trouble for it because I bought two of them for 50 cents at a garage sale and the cords were fuckered anyway but dual wielding laser pistols was badass.

The one thing I really remember doing was getting what I think was some sort of shortish paddle I just remember that the paddle bit was the right size to fit in my shoulder and hold the angled part like a rifle so little me put my brain to work, I broke off the upper part of the paddle (also bought at a garage sale, went to them a lot as a kid) cut a toilet paper tube and narrowed it down so it was a smaller sight picture and taped it on the tape, along with a latch from a gate that I got from that same garage sale and it was a super cool homemade bolt action rifle toy, shit was cash.

My grandpa used to play army with me when I was 7 and 8 before he died. He would always be a good sport and let me when, pretending to die when I 'shot' him and the sort.

Years later, my dad revealed to me that he was a medic during WWII, and had a hard time playing with me, as it reminded him of his friends who had died and those he had to comfort in their last moments; but he soldiered through the discomfort because it made me happy.

I miss my grandpa.

Between ~ 7 and probably 12 or so I participated in some pseudo-scouting program at the local YMCA. Initially there was a little structure to it, but as the years went by it developed into an excuse for a bunch of dads to get together innawoods and drink, which was fine by us. Years of unsupervised innawoods shenanigans followed, seeing us armed with everything from straw blowguns to potato cannons. One trip I remember in particular we camped on a lake, with access to the campsites provided by an asphalt loop. Once we got bored of operating innatwigs we took over the dirt and turnaround for a few hours of full contact bike-based cops and robbers/jousting. That shit turned into one of my favorite memories; wish I remembered it better than I do.

Fug that sounds like fun. Our neighborhood had very few ambush spots so we never got really good ambushes. Ours ambushes are that one guy on the grage roof and would pop out and magdump a rapid 20 then jump down. Or a whole squad of people wluld crowd the 2nd floor windows and hop out all at once and shoot. We learned to light those windows up with rapid 20s and magstrikes. Eventually we got annoyed with those so it evolved into cordinated fire from longshots and stock spring mod raiders

I had a solution to those problems by modding the magstike by cutting the mag well out, then cutting a magstike clip out and combine two clips for 1 20 rounder, then jury rig a 4in diameter pvc pipe, a coupler on each end, cut a hole in it, jury rig another piece of pipe and create a pistol grip and hold it side ways and remade a trigger on it. Now it was holded like a rifle and worked much better. Only problem was amount of work

Who KND here?

I remember visiting my friend in Chile and having our own KND. Filled water guns with cold water and paint, taped flashlights to them. Patrolled the area they lived it. Used chestnuts and other stuff as grenades.

Was also really into Duck Avenger and the ray gun he had, I even got the blueprint for it from a comic, and was really set on actually making a real one.
