good old fashioned operator thread
Them aesthetics.
this needs to become a staple image of /k/
inb4 thread dies due to "Is Glock or 1911 better" thread
hate how these threads inevitably devolve into people posting fucking militarized cops and action shots of completely ordinary units.
let's not.
>>34878106
what do you consider an "old fashioined" operator?
>>34878118
God the pre-molle/rail age was beautiful
>>34878106
how old we goin here?
>>34881053
think that's an adjective targeting 'thread', not 'operator'
>>34881043
>>34881000
Is that actually Vining, or is it just a similarly accountant-looking operator?
>>34881043
>fucking militarized cops
How does it feel to live in a country where the militarization of the police is a threat to you?
>>34881395
>>34881043
Why do so many people think that using modern equipment equates to militarization?
>>34882000
Because they're using mil equipment.

So these are Frenchies, or Bongs as SAS in the France division?
>>34882337
Vietnamese commandos fighting for France in Algeria, during the Indochina war a lot of Vietnamese (mostly ethnic minorities from North-Vietnam) fought against the Vietminh (that's how the Frenchs called the vietcongs back then) some of them joined the French foreign legion or the special forces after the war and fought in Algeria
>>34882341
They were a lot of Frogs in the SAS during WW2, they had their own units, also a lot of Greeks and few Belgians, the pics show Frenchmen you can see they are French by the way they wear their berets French SAS wear the berets

>>34882337
What weapon is he carrying there?
>>34882000
Oh look modern and not looking like I'm role playing as special forces.
>>34882953
I might be wrong but it looks like the FN Mag.
>>34883212
It's the AA-52 still used today
>>34883032
>Plate carrier and decked mp fucking 7
You literally cannot own a sharp knife. In regards to citizen vs Police in terms of availability of equipment that's like the fucking SAS.
Also everything police use I can and do own other than an automatic weapon which if I really want I can get. I can dress up in my plate carrier, nods, and full equipment but that doesn't make me militarized no matter how much the left cries. Go fuck yourself
>>34881392
>he keeps it on F for 'fuckin' ready'
>>34881218
I think it's been established that that is actually Vining.
>>34878106
Has there ever been a woman operator..... seriously.
>>34884203
I have heard of women who joined that Delta unit of the CIA. Whatever they were called. But beyond that I don't know.
*blocks your path*
>>34884196
Is sniping from a helicopter actually effective or just a meme?
>>34883247
only one paratrooper in pic
>>34885405
Most of them are wearing jump smocks despite not having the Fallschirmjager helmets. Probably late war and they're being issued regular Stahlhelms.
>>34883133
>state police swat team
>"operator"
Don't worry: the thread went to shit 25 posts ago. I just don't understand how anyone is this fucking dumb.

Is there some competition in elite units to see who can cant their beret the furthest without it falling off?
>>34884203
What the fuck is this post even supposed to mean
It's like you think women are able to become as strong as men, and all that's lacking is some pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps motivation.
Ur retarded m8
Who would win? A platoon of Saddam's finest or 8 silly billiies who wore the wrong camo to the desert

>>34888095
Doubtful, my guess would be Army SF
>>34887715
They're trained to constantly cover the tracks of their inumerablr fuck ups. They've elevated the "shit, someone's coming. Look cool!" Technique to an art form.
>>34888194
uhhh I think you are mistaking them for someone else buddy
>>34883662
you can't move the fire selector on an AR pattern rifle unless the rifle is cocked
since he's carrying it slung behind him with no mag I'd say it's a fair bet that the bolt isnt primed
>>34883636

most german paras did not even have jump training so there where issued usual steel helmets, most probably no one is a real paratrooper in that pic because they all have no jump training
>>34888810
>shorts

Their legs are gonna feel like shit tomorrow
>>34883636
>decked up

hello grandpa, take your pills
>>34885743
Fuck no, I'm literally asking a question. I've told my GF many times I HIGHLY doubt there's ever been a woman operator. We watched some dumbass movie and I explained how "Kickass strong independent women who are just as good as males" in movies like that drive me nuts because they don't exist.
Maybe 4/5 of these are not SF , so how are they ops?
>>34890189
depends how loose your term of operator is, some of those Kurdish women who fight against IS might be considered it but they're not special forces tier obviously
hell they're probably a worse shot compared to the guys who just go plinking every other week but they're still out there risking their shit
>>34882000
because
>muh scary military clothing
>>34890261
Good point. No doubt they're some pretty tough women.
>>34890261
I wish I had the ice cube meme "shut up bitch"
Trust me one will think that , it's called special ops or SF for a reason and no women are in unless to be medics
>>34887779
fucking kek
>>34884350
There are women in delta force and seal team 6 that assist men in AFO recon-- where it would provide the operators a better cover profile to be seen together and not alone.
At least for Delta women have their own selection style course but being accepted for the job relies more on psychological profiles.

It is a specialised skill, for example used in maritime interdiction. Though, since it doesn't really use the sniper's craft as you would understand it on land, perhaps they are better referred to as "marksmen"
