I've got a long one, it's a friend's story, but I know it well. I'll tell it from his point of view. I personally know 2 of the three individuals and the area. Here goes.

>In ocatillo wells, near San Diego, CA.

>Night patrol, we all have plate carriers, plates, Ar-15/dmr and a sidearm of choice

Now here, I'll set some groundwork.
It's B's truck, and B is sleeping in drivers seat, C in front passenger, and A in backseat, spread out. A and C both have pistols in hand, B has Rifle on center console, and pistol in glove box.
