Thinking about picking one of those up for EDC

Got a CZ P-07 coming.
Decided it's finally time to both see how the Omega trigger compares, and get over my fuddly need for metal frames and wood grips.

I'm also debating stripping the finish on my KBI Jericho, polishing it, and rebluing it - but the serial number is stamped so lightly that I think a good polish would probably come dangerously close to obliterating it. Anybody know the legalities of deepening a serial number?

I don't have many guns, and of course this may be a bias thread to ask in, but I can't decide between a Glock 19 and some CZ, probably some 75 variant, to run as my first concealed carry.

What might be some advantages of going for a CZ over a Glock? Glocknade posters need not reply.

own both and the answer is nothing except hipster points. i like my cz but the glock is more practical. the cz has an annoying beavertail that stabs me in the gut when i bend and it weighs more. not enough to make it impossible to carry but enough that you notice it. cz triggers are overrated. stock is pretty much meh until it smooths out a few thousand rounds later.if you get a professional trigger job done cz is godlike trigger. stock cz trigger is worse than glock.
you can scream ergonomics all you want and ill admit the cz fits my hands better however my practical accuracy with glock is exactly the same.

I have both as well, and generally find the CZ much preferable. I carry a G19 on patrol due to dept policy, and at first carried a G26 off-duty.
I switched later to a P01, then a 2075 RAMI.
Agreed on the beavertail jabbing you, and agreed on the weight, though experimenting with a couple of holsters solves those problems.
At the end of the day, CZs point more naturally in my hand and the better trigger lend to it grouping better in my hands - rapid fire, point shooting, and slow fire alike.
You need to try both and see what works best for you. Try to rent or borrow them if possible, but at a minimum handle both in a store. A good test for me, beyond the usual fingering the trigger and ooh-ing at the finish, is to aim it at a (safe) target with my eyes closed, and see how close it is to where I want it.

CZs aren't as cheap as they used to be in 2010 or even 2015, but they're still very nice guns for a reasonable price.

Yours is probably made of carbon steel, and would rust like a motherfucker if you polished off the finish on it.
Either you'd need to track down one of the old, old stainless CZ-97s, or go for a nickel plate finish.

Installed myself. Took about 4 hours. Biggest issue was getting the sear cage installed again. Screwed up the orientation a couple of times on the decocker.

7.5lb DA 3lb SA with some light sanding on the sear. Crisper than my Gieselle SSA-E trigger.

Your pinky hangs off, and with +P, the gun shifts in your hand as you shoot it.
I put a Hogue grip on mine to give me a bit more purchase.
