I don't prefer it. I generally use a thumb pectoral index as my muzzle down ready position because it's already a natural part of my draw stroke and the joint articulation required for sul is ridiculous and unnecessary for my applications. The only time it makes sense is in a conga line for law enforcement purposes. Even then I probably wouldn't use it

If you're operating with a squad and need to be careful of flagging, use sul.
Something like>>34871740 is best is the attacker is right up on you, although I prefer to keep my hand up, almost like a boxing stance.
Other than that, compressed ready is king. Similar to sul, but you keep you grip and point the gun forward. All you have to do is extend your arms and you're isoceles.
